This might belong in a sub-genre, but for me it's good metal because it's heavy, well-crafted and definately headbanging material. It's just melodic enough give it some flavor too.
that, this thread isn't dying.
Protest the Hero-Blindfolds Aside
Can't wait for Metalcamp, in less then a fortnight I'm seeing
Dark Tranquillity, Eluveitie, Finntroll, DevilDriver, Soulfly, Hammerfall, Behemoth, Paradise Lost, Equilibrium and many more...
yeah!
I really like Soulfly.
Max writes some cool stuff but I haven't checked him out since primitive. Soulfys first disc was awesome.
I liked Max better with Sepultura, still Soulfly is damn nice when playing live.
Lack of Communication by Ratt.
Cover band Frost does some interesting twists on it.
Most i like, great guitars, some good vocals.
The lyric change of the punch line from Back Off to Whack Off is beyond lame.

I never got in to Soulfly but I was a big Sepultura fan. I was listening to "Arise" just a few days ago. My band in high school played a cover of Territory off the Chaos AD album.
I loved Sepultura back in the old days. I usually don't listen to Soulfly but I've seen them twice on festivals and even if you're not a fan, they sure know how to rock the crowd.
Time to revive this thread - back from Metalcamp in Slovenia

Haha, missed that.
Well, that kid perfected the art of headbanging. No other singers shakes his emo hair that good.

That's really not my bag but it looks like a fun festival. I love all day festivals. The people. The music. The hang. The drugs..
It's actually a 7 day festival![]()
Even better.

Holy crap, so much better than Cannibal Corpse
Videos not working btw - still
The Faceless are on a completely different level. The entire CD is amazing.

Other than "And the World Returned", I don't like At The Gates. But I really like
Disturbed, Bullet for My Valentine, All That Remains, In Flames, Scar Symmetry, 5 Finger Death Punch, Trivium and Killswitch Engage. And mixed stuff from Drowning Pool, Machine Head etc.
So does anyone know anything about The Butcher Babies???
Friend told me about them, but I can't find anything that has any high quality sound
This is the best I could find:
They've only been doing live shows in the LA area (mostly) so far but are supposedly working on an Album.
Yeah, the lead singers are hot, but I'm just trying to figure out if they're any good, and that's hard to do when there's nothing out there but stuff with horrible sound quality
If nothing else, they're at least fun to watch
