The market is very quiet and basically nothing has happened for two weeks.

The obvious question is: Why Spurs have done nothign to fix their backup SF spot?

I see 3 possible answers:
1) Spurs are still negotiating hard with some players.
2) Spurs are fine with their roster.
3) Spurs are waiting on something.

If it's 1), it likely means that Spurs try to get these players on a partially guaranteed contract. Given the low quality of the remaining players, they would welcome a 1 year non guaranteed minimum contract.

2) could makes some sense. Spurs have still spend $400K on Gee while he hasn't played a single minute with them and they are really high on Anderson.

If it's 3), I don't really know what they are waiting for. Maybe something on the international front? Maybe they will trade James Anderson in a week when they are allowed to do it? Maybe they are waiting that a NBA team waive a player?

This lack of movement form Spurs draws some questions.

it's not surprise with Spurs, even last year they do nothing in the trade deadline and enter the playoff withour bench!

It's possibility that some of the remaining players wants more than a min contract and Spurs are waiting on it but I don't think it's very likely. Remaining players are so marginal that I don't see one not jumping on a Spurs offer (good team and an opportunity to get playing time).

After all, maybe you're right and a player like Jarvis Hayes is waiting for a LLE offer and Spurs have only offer a min contract. The market has been so crazy this summer that everything is possible.
