Definitely should go after him. Doubt he's released and compared to what we can offer I doubt he would choose us if Miami or Boston come calling as well.
He recently said he isn't going to seek a buyout from Indiana also though.
Does anyone think the Spurs should go after him as the vet Sf if the Pacers release him or buy him out? Anyone see him play last year?

yeah, I saw that but I'm curious if the Pacers really want to keep him.
He'll have much more high-profile suitors than the Spurs. They'll almost certainly give him a call.
James Posey's agent, Mark Bartelstein, told SI.com that the veteran swingman will not seek a buyout from Indiana.

yeah hes not going anywhere
Granger
George
Dunleavy
I think hes gone, one way or another.
Yup. And if he is broughtout he will be on the next thing smoking to miami. He will fit well there. They need finishers over there.

Posey would bring a lot of things this team needs. Shame it won't happen.
Yep, just as others have said. Having him would be a nice pick up but there would be to many teams out there willing to pay him much more then the Spurs could offer.
Posey and his good days are behind him.
He looked slow and out of shape last year.
We are going with what we got unless an insane deal presents itself.
The Spurs lost their edge when they lost Bowen. Opposing teams aren't afraid of injury anymore. Bring in Posey....Whammo...he injures someone and we're back in business.
Drive for Five!!!!
Dice + Non Guarantees could work if they are in need of a Center
how about bonner+ for posey if that works (which i doubt)
pacers always looking for a new white guy especially since they just lost one
If RJ released, should Heat go after him?
Where did this idea that the Pacers would release Posey come from? Lemme guess . . . somebody's ass?
Posey would be a great pickup but it wont happen so no reason to discuss it.
The question is IF he is released. If he becomes available at all does anyone think the Spurs should go after him as the backup Sf. I never said he was going to be released or bought out but there maybe a possibility if the Pacers see no need for him or want to move him.
Now if you find this thread to your dislike and just wanted to voice disdain try complaining to the Admins and mods. I could careless if you hate this thread because you read it wrong or just feel it will never happen. It's time for some of you so called men in here to grow up. Too many boys who talk way too much when men typically just ignore what they find to be stupid, inappropriate and useless. These rare times though we try to give guidance to you young guys who have nothing better to do than try to one up and show how young you are by making statement as absurd as the one you did.
Get over yourself.
I read something of the idea coming from 1070 radio in Indianapolis.
Its not 100% gonna happen, but its something thats possible.
Probably won't happen, wish it did though...That way the Spurs could snatch him. Would be a ton of help with defense, 3 point shooting, the like.
I didn't see him play last year so I was wondering would it be worth thinking about plus he could come off the bench and would be the vet Sf. I'd like that if he becomes available. I know he doesn't want a buyout but that doesn't mean anything if the Pacers don't want to keep him. He maybe able to get a buyout and recoup the lost signing elsewhere. Depending on his contract and it's length
