I am pretty ignorant of Ghandi. I have no doubt that you are correct, but the question was to name a greater man.

I know of no other man that has allowed himself to be crucified and prayed for his murderers in the process.
    Do great men condone slavery?

    To judge is to condemn.

I do no such thing. I only speak the truth as I see it.

And there is no try, only do, or do not.
Um, sure you can play word games all you want but you are definitely judging in this thread.

    Now? Nope.

    Back then? Sure.

Morals change over time... I don't expect people to hold today's morals to past generations. After all, if two generations from now eating meat becomes immoral, will we all be considered barbarians?

That would be valid if God's morals were not supposed to be unchanging.

Allegedly, the Bible is the word of God. God is all right with slavery, according to the Bible. Therefore, slavery is okay.

Uhm... so when people hold, say, chili cookoffs, are they judging those foods? Or condemning them?

If you're referring to God, then yeah, that's a different story. I was merely referring to the fact that I still think our Founding Fathers were great men even if they accepted slavery, and I think Gandhi was an impressive figure even though he was probably racist.

Lucifer wants us to be his slaves. God wants us to be His servants.
What's the difference? After all, God lays down laws that we must obey, correct? Lucifer seems to have less rules.

+1 More and more people are giving up red meat every day and become healthy eaters. I will probably be a barbarian for life though although I do eat much more turkey these days.

Well Manny, if you don't mind, I'll kindly take your opinion with a grain of salt since you are the expert judge around here.
Sure, but unlike others I don't exactly claim to be above it.

I'm sorry, was there a point to this? You like brushing off questions that you can't answer.
I know reading is not something you enjoy doing but I felt if I could show you some topics about the millions of questions you keep asking it help may bring you up to speed on this subject and lessen the chances of you looking ignorant..................or am i to late?

    They condemn all but one.
Oh give me a break. There is a big difference between condemning and judging. Condemning something automatically implies a negative connotation. To judge something implies no negative connotation.

    Let's not twist words here.
