What kind of move?
I know we need a SF to back-up Jefferson but I don't undertsand why they have not made a move.
Don't want to go over the cap I think.
RJ likes this.
I thought we were under the cap with the Jefferson's contract revamped. The move is to find a veterna SF

Aren't we also at the limit of players on roster?
I believe that Hairston's departure puts the roster at 14.
I would be happy if I only got $1,000

Oh yeah, what a shame. Dude was the next LeBron.
This. Ive been saying this for over 500 years.
Spurs are over the cap already. Its the luxury tax they are avoiding.
yeah the roster is probably done maybe an extra big or wing for the min might be brought in
We used part of the MLE to sign Neal.
Does anyone know exactly how much we can spend without having to pay the luxury tax?
If I remember correctly, it's nothing; even a minimum salary at this point would push the Spurs over. I could be wrong, though.
Nobody can confirm Bonner's contract numbers but as far as anyone knows the best guess is you are correct. Anybody else signed at this point even at min puts them over the luxury tax threshold.
Thanks...I think we'll go with what we have if that's the case.
I heard Bonzi Wells is available![]()

As a short answer to the original post, the Spurs do have some MLE and LLE money left to spend if they so choose, but are so close up against the luxury tax that they're not likely to sign any more guaranteed contracts during the offseason.
I wonder if the Spurs would try to pursue Xavier Henry even though they are tight financially; he and the Memphis organization have yet to sign due to abnormal contract incentives.
