We could have offered Dice + Anderson. They get the young talent in Anderson, on a rookie scale salary and Dice as insurance if anything happen to Yao.
Doesn't mean Houston does it, but I think it has more value for them than Courtney Lee...
Just because they are available doesn't mean they would have agreed to a trade. We would have nothing to offer for prince's 11 mil a year and don't mention a S&T with RJ because I'm pretty sure Detroit would rather have Princes expiring than a new deal with RJ, so that rules that trade out. Regarding Ariza I don't understand why Houston would trade him to an in-state rival when we can offer nothing like courtney lee (unless you are proposing we got rid of hill or blair, mcdyess is about the only thing that matches up with Ariza's contract and I'm pretty sure they have better offers than that including a young player in courtney lee, so that's out. Posey could have probably been available but they just got Ariza for him so that's better than anything we could offer. They might have been willing to take on RJ in a s&t but Posey has not shown anything over the past couple years to show he is a better player than RJ. His defense used to be good and is still above average but he is already 33 and is showing a fast decline in his game. People seem to think that because a trade didn't happen that we never picked up the phone and asked.

And after seeing Posey's remaining salary, I figured he wouldn't opt out.
But age Posey for to defense when such a factor?
Best of the rest we could be interested about (so means only sf and pf/c ) i9n my personal order of preference :
sf pf/c
J. Singleton K. Brown
J. Williams E. Barron
B. Simmons E. Thomas
R. Carney L. Amudson
S. Pavlovic D.J. Mbenga
I. Udoka F. Oberto
D. George M. Moore
J. Hayes S. Hunter
T. Hassell S. Williams
Also worth mentioning, but difficult to see any kind of interest
A. Morrison (no defense) J. Boone (restricted and probable re-signed out of our range)
J. Alexander (can he play?) I. Diogu (not a real big man)
if those are our options i'd rather give Alonzo Gee a chance seriosly

Blazers guard Rudy Fernandez wants to return to Europe to play and has no interest in NBA trade, his agent Andy Miller told Yahoo! Sports.
Blazers are a joke. They get what they deserved after threatening the whole league about Darius Miles.
I just don't get why he wants out of the NBA, that is lame.

Rudy Fernandez not responding to Portland Trail Blazers, NBA investigating possible rule violation - http://tinyurl.com/2bsbmws
Thanks for posting all the news this summer.
This story is starting to be very ugly and both Rudy and Blazers are heavily responsible of that.
Not much sympathy for Rudy here, he's basically killing all of his trade value as well but maybe thats part of the point.
Houston reporting that Interests in Carmelo Anthony being viewed by New York and Houston.
I think houstons likely being used as pawn, however Houston is ignorant enough to pursue a deal, even though it would annihilate thier front court and most likely make everyone around Melo worse. Didn't they learn with T-mac, na.

NBA fines Blazer Rudy Fernandez $25,000 for detrimental public statements concerning desire to be traded or released by the Trail Blazers.
If he leaves the NBA does he still have to pay this or only when and if he decides to return? Or maybe this fine is valid regardless of whether he stays or leaves?
Knicks Offer Chandler For Fernandez
