And tbh Dirk I'll freely admit that I wouldn't expect New England to beat Indy in a playoff game as it stands, so it's not "desperation", but that has nothing to do with the "improvements" Indy made. Given how Bradford looked last night Manning isn't gonna have a problem shredding New England's defense with or without Gonzalez.
new englands defense is pretty crappy. the offense is going to have to be ridiculously good again, forcing other teams to have to score ridiculous amounts of points for the defense to look even moderately decent.

I've never said Dez Bryant would suck ass. Even when I was criticizing him, I still said that he would have a great career because he's way too talented to suck in the NFL.
And I never criticized him or called him a head case once, until his actions proved he was a head case. If he had been drafted by the Patriots and refused to carry Torry Holt's pads in training camp, I would have said the exact same thing about him.
tbh everything on NE's defense is actually way improved, except for one area which is pass rush, which is the most important area on defense. So having improved safeties and corners and linebackers is pretty much sent into the toilet when the QB has all day to throw the football.
Not going after Julius Peppers, losing Ty Warren, and somehow thinking got Derrick Burgess will suffice as a pass rusher is a huge mistake that will probably cost the Pats a shot at the Super Bowl.
Outside of the ans and Jacksonville game last year the offense for the most part sucked. The defense way overachieved last year and that's the only reason they made the playoffs. Now the offense is actually good again but the defense still has too many problems at DE and OLB. It's still at least a year away from being superbowl caliber, but you over exaggerate how bad their D really is.
tbh getting curbstomped by Sam Bradford doesn't help our case.
It sucks cuz if Belichick had made any effort whatsoever to get one quality pass rusher, we wouldn't be talking about the defense.
