If we could see some Twin Tower defense again, that would be magical. Been missing that for a while. If only we had someone like Bruce on the perimeter as well.

I can't wait to seE him along with Tim too!

And I love the fact that we are going under the radar...

I have a good feeling, with Tony "in mission", Manu comfortable and injury free, Hill growing up, Blair 1 more year, Splitter at 5, Neal & Anderson corner 3pts...

I'm trying my best not to be a homer, but IT SMELLS GOOG GUYS !!!!

I get excited about the upcoming season and think about all this, then I suddenly imagine Bonner coming in the game to stink it up.

The thing with Bonner is that I'm sure he'll probably be good, even great sometimes during the regular season, when/if he is confident, with no pressure can be a real threat offensively...
But that won't make me anymore confident seing him on the floor during the PO!!

I hate those kind of players with whom you never know what to expect...

Let's hope we won't need him too much!

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited about Splitter too, but because he will add some very needed size to our frontcourt and 'cause I think he will be a very good role player. It's just that by seeing some of the comments here, It seems like a lot of people is expecting a future all-star, and I really don't think Splitter is that kind of player.

the only thing we are certain here is splitter will have a better nba career then greg oden
Seriously, where does all this Oden hate come from? Well, maybe his body won't hold up, but this dude has the potential to be an absolue beast defensively.

It comes from Tlong ridin' Oden's , dude was en annoying, all he'd talk about was Oden. If Tlong wasn't apart of this forum we wouldn't care about Oden, but Tlong made us dislike him.

I'm excited to watch the WCs. It's great to see excellent compe ion with teams playing at a high level.

The WCs run until September 11 so Tiago will have only a couple of weeks to get in some pre-camp informal workouts with his new teammates. Healthy, we hope. He should be in decent game shape by then, so that will be an advantage. The disadvantage is he won't have had much time to get to know his fellow Spurs.

It will be interesting to see whether Splitter comes in playing confidently or tentatively. If he comes in playing with the agressiveness that Luis had when he came to the states, then the Spurs win big!
