TDK sucked.
It's Arkham Asylum. How can you be a Batman nerd and get that wrong?
The thing I got out of reading this whole thread is that Rivers is bitter, both the Lakers and Celtics are now even and have beaten eachother in the NBA finals, the Lakers got Gasol for nothing and wouldn't have all the success without that trade, and 3peating is going to be quite a feat for the 2010-2011 Lakers.
So......have the Heat won it all yet? lol
I'm drunk, don't judge me
Part of me thinks Kobe claims fake injuries in an effort to bolster his legacy by being able to say he accomplished X while being less than 100%. I mean, how many goddamn times is Kobe going to have a hand injury?
That you make a steaming pile of look good.
Whenever defenders stop hacking him because they can't check him meanwhile the refs swallow their whistles.
You guys think LeHype and DWhistle are good, just think if Kobe got the calls he deserves? Simply put Kobe isn't protected the way he should be. When defenders finally get called for fouls he'll stop having broken fingers, sprained ankles, knees that need draining twice in a playoff series, etc.
We know Kobe is an all-time great. I really don't see what is funny. Check the boxscores. Many times you will see Kobe get like 2 or 3 token FTs or go several games without shooting any at all. Maybe it was good defense by his defenders...
Kobe doesn't get 1/5 the calls LeHype and DWhistle gets.
Lebron's 3 highest FTA per game seasons: 10.3, 10.3, 10.2..
Wade's 3 highest FTA per game seasons: 10.7, 10.5, 9.9..
Kobe's 3 highest FTA per game seasons: 10.1, 10.2, 10..
Ok you dishonest bas . Were all three of these years in the same years? Or are you cherry picking? Fact is, after Colorado, it was open season on Kobe whereas LeWade was always coddled by the refs.
I never said Kobe didn't get his fair share of FTs...in the past. Post Colorado is much much different. We've seen injury after injury mount because the refs won't give him any calls. Must be some sort of Stern mandate.
I remember one game Leon Friggen Powe shot as many FTs as the Lakers did in the 2008 Finals. GTFO with that FT BS.![]()
Um, all 3 of those Kobe seasons are post-Colorado..ya..
So, your theory is that Kobe gets injured because the refs don't blow the whistle?..intriguing theory..
I think he means the seasons immediately following Colorado, which I think is correct. Kobe gets more than a fair share of superstar calls today though.
I don't think that Boston will contend this season. I think they are done. But the bravado, the bulletin-board material when the Lakers and the Celtics get together--this feels like the rivalry.
It was at that point Luva got reinstated and we went on to the end.
Oh, it was a glorious nite.
If Perk wouldn't have gotten hurt..., if your team wouldn't have run out of gas..., and if your team would've closed out that 4th quarter..., we wouldn't be having this thread.
It's a shame that the C's blew such a golden opportunity by sqaundering that 7th game. A game in which they dominated for three quarters.
Memo to Doc:
Perhaps you've heard the old saying, if ifs and buts were candy and nuts...
Instead of crying over spilled milk, just saddle it up and bring it back again next season.
Colorado happened going into the 2003-2004 season..the 3 seasons I posted were the 3 seasons following that one, well before Kobe had an image makeover..I think it's safe to say that his statement was false, as usual..
Shining example of why the first 82 are of vital import.
I wanted Bryant to sit out two months after January and let that finger heal.
Thank Christ he didn't.
You're right. I am rather surprised that he averaged that many free-throws. Nonetheless, from a purely subjective standpoint, I thought Kobe did get hacked a lot in the 04-05 season without his fair share of calls. I firmly disagree that's the case today though.
2010 NBA Playoffs Free Throw Differential
First team to win a le with lowest FT differential BY FAR in playoffs.
the refs spotted LeRobin's Cavs 55 free shots and he still couldn't get out of the 2nd round.
Both of your guys's statistics don't mean too much...as you can see if you find the right statistics they can always prove your point.
From the basketball I've seen: Wade gets a ton of BS calls, LeBron gets bailed out a lot, and Kobe gets his superstar calls occasionally.
Kobe hasn't really gotten superstar treatment post-Colorado. I know most can't bear to admit it, but it's the ing truth.
When was the last time Robin or Wade shot 0 free throws in playoff game? It's happened to Kobe a few times the last 3 years.
