    More Stats:

    http://www.eurobasket.com/player.asp...PlayerID=99289

Looks like his percentages are going up each year.

57% from the field 40.8% from the 3 point line

A Eddie House like player, but 3 inches taller.

he looked like an awesome shooter - sure to go to summer training you'd have thought. Could take the 14th/15th spot on the roster.

Welcome to Spurs bro. Just drain some threes and tell Pop to piss off if he tries to make you run the point.

Yes. But signing him to send him to the Toros is meaningless.

Last time we checked in on Gary Neal, he was in the middle of a tremendously productive season in A1 Italy and the EuroCup, leading us to bump him up to the third overall spot in our overseas free agent rankings....

wow, DX is really high in him.
but I take it with a grain of salt. whenever the evaluation of a few summer league games leads leads to prediction what this player might provide in the NBA, I'm careful. however, better than not seeing any NBA potential at all of course. his defensive at ude will in fact be the crucial point for him.

It's going to be a lot of fun watching the compe ion for minutes at SG between Neal and Anderson. With Mason gone, having two legit shooting prospects battling it out is a good problem for the Spurs to have.

It's more than just a few SL games. He played on a very good Italian league team, and kicked ass. If someone were tearing up the d-league with these numbers, fans would be clamoring for the Spurs to sign him, and the Italian league is MUCH better than the d-league.

He's definitely got the skills, I'm just waiting to see what's between his ears. Is he scurred like Hairston, or bold and fearless like Temple, and Gee, ready to take advantage of his opportunity? If he's the latter, we may have nailed an Azubuike/Morrow type of shooter/scorer machine.

I know what he did in Italy. I was just reacting to this DX article, where they got quite excited about his summer league performance. which is nice on the one hand and doesn't tell much on the other hand. that's all.

Positive or negative, I always ignore SL stats. They're worse than useless. Two things I never ignore, however, are Euroleague or Eurocup stats. They're a pretty damned good indicator of NBA talent. The shooting percentages are a little high, making the rebound numbers a little lower, but other than that, they're pretty accurate.
