Is Quinteros sick? He is hardly playing at all?
No, he is just in a bad stretch right now.

EuroBasket is better than Olympics. It might not be better than World Championship, but it very close, but for sure it is better (MUCH better) than Olympics are. And Olympics has US and Argentina.

2 teams does not make a tournament my friend. There are 20 teams in Europe that could win a FIBA Americas tournament for example. But I agree that World Championship is better, but it's very close actually.

World Championship is harder to win, but EuroBasket is way harder in each game.

    1. World Championship
    2. EuroBasket
    3. Olympics

    4. Americas Championship

    5. Asian Championship

    6. Africas Championship

    7. Oceania Championship
The Olympic tournament is the hardest tournament to win 'cause to win it you have to beat the US at full strength, then it comes the WC.

It's really simple: the EC has Europe's best teams, the WC and Olympics has Europe's best teams plus USA, Argentina, Brazil, Puerto Rico, etc. a World tournament will always be harder to win than a Continental one.

Quinteros seems not healthy and Kammerichs seems not to be playing well. US, Spain, Greece, Serbia all have better teams I think. But is close with Serbia.
Serbia lost today against the team that Argentina beat yesterday, and Argentina has had Greece's number this last decade.

Argentina can win or lose against a handfull of teams, the only teams that are clearly better than them are the US and Spain, that's why I think a medal is possible.

Serbia lost without Teodisic and Krstic. That is like US team without Rose and Durant. Greece will not lose to Argentina again. I would bet money on this.

Argentina is very good on paper but Oberto misses a game, Kammerichs hardly plays, Quinteros seems hurt. They cannot possibly beat teams such as Greece and Serbia in these conditions.

Why did Oberto not play and why is Kammerichs not playing much? They are all capable players.

Olympics is easy tournament. EuroBasket is much harder. Why do you think Spain has only one European championship in their history in basketball? And they have to send a better team to that than they do in the Olympics.

Even Sabonis said EuroBasket is harder than Olympics and he said that even just 4 years ago.

Oberto was sick, and Kammerichs played around his normal minutes today.

I do not like what your coach is doing. His rotation is too short. How does he expect to win like that? It will not work against the really serious teams. He has some good players and he is not using them.

There is no way that just Delfino, Gutierrez, Scola, Prigioni playing so much minutes will work.

Well, our depth took a big hit without Manu and Nocioni, still I think we have a good rotation:

Starters: Prigioni, Delfino, Jasen, Scola, Oberto
Bench: Cequeira, Quinteros, Kammerichs, L.Gutierrez, J.Gutierrez/R.Gonzalez

All those players are seeing minutes, maybe Scola and Delfino play too many minutes, but that's reasonable 'cause they are our best players.

In the Olympics we basically had a 7 men rotation and we did well, so I'm not worried about that.

In the Olympics Argentina only had to play 2 serious games to win the bronze. Greece and Lithuania. You cannot do that in this tournament. I think proven players such as Quinteros and Kammerichs need to play more than just 10 minutes.

I've seen Argentina always grow through tournaments so I wouldn't take very seriously what they do in these first games. Though no Manu/Nocioni makes them weaker. Let's see how they build from now, I guess they play tournaments building the confindence and the team from start to 100. So let's see.

Lol, Spain. 9 points in the 4th quarter.

Gotta give credit to Lithuania, especially after being down 18 points one point in the 2nd half.

Are you saying Spain didn't throw the game away this time, like against France? I thought Spain could only lose when they decided to, for "strategic" reasons?

It has become clear that Spain is nothing without the Lakers' MVP, Pau Gasol. Sure, they're still a very good team, but without Gasol, they're very, very beatable.
