    yeah, they are gimme picks but i figured to throw a few bones out there (just to get some easy wins for everyone) and the texas and a&m offerings (as well as tech) are for the local posters backing these schools.

    truthfully, there were not all that many tough games out there this week as most of the major powers or popular programs have easy first games. i did go with the games that had the most narrow lines according to the current vegas odds.

    I understand your reasoning, and other than 3 games you did a very good job.

    I realize that a majority of posters here identify with Texas schools, but I just don't think it's a reason to include these types of blowout games. Sure, you're going to have the random App St type shocker, but an overwhelming majority of these games are money in the bank. Instead, throw a few more obscure games in that will force people to either:

    A. research the game

    or

    B. randomly pick a winner


    This, IMO, will ensure more separation as the season goes on.
