You cant deny the influx of Laker fans post-Gasol. There used to be a lot hanging around these parts in 03 and 04, they disappeared for a while (bar a few), and then came back "better" than ever in 08...

Yes, but many of the same posters are still around now, while the Spurs have a very low chance of winning a championship.
Could the same be said of Laker fans on this site if suddenly the Lakers returned to #8 seed / lottery status?

As for the bandwagoning, I don't really care if somebody calls me a bandwagoner because I don't live in SA, that's fine..I don't really see any other reason though, I'm still a Spurs fan despite the window closing years ago, and I will continue to be, even after Tim retires..I was also registered on RealGM as a Spurs fan since 2004..
The problem with these Laker fans here is that the majority of them joined in February of 2008 up until around May of 2008, when the Lakers made a playoff run..once the Lakers were eliminated by Boston, all these Laker fans stopped posting for months, including the great 21_Blessings, which was expected..then once the Lakers started dominating the next season, another influx of Laker fans joined at about mid-season, and they've been joining ever since..
Laker fans would be tolerable if they had any knowledgeable fans..they literally don't..I have yet to interact with a knowledgeable Laker fan..Laker fans here are so bad that they piggyback on a Pistons' fan's arguments in every thread, and when they have to make their own argument, they fail miserably..
Luva is a good troll, but he's horrible when he has to actually talk about basketball..
The Machine is one of the worst posters in internet history, his arguments sound like something you would hear from a 6-year old re ed child..
Gobbler has to go off-topic in every argument, because he has very little ability to discuss basketball outside of "killer instinct" and quoting NBA cliches and perception..
21_Blessings just sucks..he's the stereotypical Laker fan..
Medvedenko is just terrible..I have yet to see him make a decent argument on SpursTalk..all he does is talk about how the NBA forum sucks, how the Mav Krew brings it down, how everybody is a troll, yet he never contributes anything..he also believes Kobe > Jordan, and the only argument he has ever presented is "I just think he's better, OK, leave me alone"..he is also one of the biggest culprits when it comes to piggybacking onto Jam's arguments..
Daddy of Trolls is obviously horrible, as other posters have commented on..he literally gives us a history lesson in each one of his posts, when it has very little to do with the actual argument at hand..he's the definition of more quan y in his posts, yet very little quality..there are only a few guys that can rival his inep ude in making an argument..I also believe he is somehow related to koriwhat, he shows all the signs of being bad at the internet..
- Talks about his real life all the time..
- Uses the word " " and other phobic slurs when he's angry..
- Has to constantly repeat how he's winning an argument, even though he isn't..
- Talks about ing a MILF and being too busy for me, yet viewing the thread for over 30 mins after he posts that, waiting for my reply..
Lkrfan is beyond horrible..I have never seen a serious poster suck so much..maybe Supergirl can compete with him, that's probably it..
Koolaidman doesn't have to be explained..he's in the HOF for mediocrity..
BadOdor has developed a good niche on SpursTalk, I'll give him that..he follows the MavKrew around and laughs at their jokes, it has worked out for him, since they have accepted him..he's DOK's little man, so I guess he receives a pass..

I don't really care about the whole "bandwagon fan" thing..you can cheer for whoever you want..as I said, Laker fans are annoying because they stop posting when their team loses and show up when their team wins(which has been proven time and time again here), bringing along their arrogance and iness, even though they have nothing to do with their team winning a le..no other fanbase is even close when it comes to talking so much about winning les, and then disappearing when they struggle..
Also, like I said, the main issue is that Laker fans are all ing idiots..every one of them..
Lakers fan disappearing when the Lakers struggle? All this coming from a fan who jumped shipped to the Heat.
Harlem = stereotypical insecure basketball nomad that bandwagons whatever team/player that poses the biggest threat to the Lakers.
Insecurity, jealously and uncontrollable frustration all rolled into one. It's adorable.
