Yes, I know how volatile the are. Know how hard they are to predict. Know that a 10% swing in a day isn't uncommon.

Idiot. I never implied such a thing. I do understand how some investors thought she was the problem rather than the tech market bursting. If they only had their sights on HPQ rather than the whole industry, such investors may believe the change would raise stock prices, which becomes a self fulfilling prophesy in a supply and demand system. At least for a day.
If the change in leadership really made a diffference, why was the increase only for the day? Did you know the stock was already on the rise, a little slower? It already gained 4.1% for the prior week, with a short peak of 5.7% within that, before her resignation was announced.
Fluctuations are normal, and I would assume the announcement only increased the normal fluctuation a little. Ie, that would have been maybe 3% to 5% became the 6.7%.
All tech companies employed more people from other countries. LSI Logic started manufacturing in Malaysia, then shut down the Gresham, OR plant.
Common industry practice because of taxes and regulations.

I like the idea, and could find it funny if it was more focused, but it was just too long. I didn't want to watch a movie. LOL. BTW I don't care that it was against a Dem, even against a repub, I can't see it changing my view that it was poorly executed.
The idea for the commercial, however, is good.
I thought it was a well-produced piece of political advertising, but I couldn't get over the "big spending liberal" VS "has done so little" argument.
Edit: I don't know much about either candidate, but based on this I'd vote for Carly. Carly for California!!!
