Well, only Greece lost on purpose. After the game, Tanjevic and Blatt told them what they though about that.

Well, justice was served and they should be sent home by Spain. Looks like Russia will have a great chance to advance to the quarters, while Greece will already be back in Athens.

And if France tanked their last game, which I'm not sure, they got what they deserved by failing at it with facing Turkey.

I think they just tried that, if france lost by less than 12 points they would avoid Turkey too bad they lost by exactly 12

    Nice.

    My picks:

Serbia vs Croatia: Serbia is more talented and Croatia is a weak team mentally wise.
Spain vs Greece: Greece without Papaloukas doesn't have enough offensive firepower.
Slovenia vs Australia: Australia isn't deep enough and Maric has been too bad this summer.
Turkey vs France: France won't score against Turkey great zone defense.
USA vs Angola: Congrats to Angola to have qualified for the eight finals.
Russia vs New Zealand: Blatt is a great coach and his team won't lose against a less talented team.
Lithuania vs China: It could be closer than expected.
Argentina vs Brazil: Argentina is the more disciplined team.

One suggestion - the apt word for the "16 round" is pre-quarters and not "eight finals".

I hate how the tournament brackets are already revealed before the tourney starts and teams try to tank games to put themselves in the best position to get to the finals.

Good game. Some crazy moments at the end. I cannot believe they let him get open for a lay up and then commit a foul. Just poor execution.

Spain/Greece is very compe ive. Despite a bad start, Navarro looks like an NBA player.

    Greece/Spain was a great game.

Greece plays a wonderful team basketball but, at the end, they lack of offensive firepower. Spain had way better shooters with Navarro and Fernandez and playmakers with Rubio.

Slovenia was hot from the outside on Sunday as they defeated Australia 87-58 to advance at the World Championships.

The Slovenians made 16 of 33 three-point attempts.

Primoz Brezec of the Bucks had 12 points and Suns guard Goran Dragic added 10 points and eight assists for Slovenia.

"We did a poor job of getting to their 3-point shooters," Australian coach Brett Brown said. "We pride ourselves for playing hard, tough defense. We don't have great athletes, we aren't very quick."
