Same here. Even the tiest of actors has the rare gem occasionally.
Vin Diesel is good enough in Babylon A.D. Director's Cut.
I have to say Juliette Lewis. I find her acting completely cringe-worthy. The only movie I really like that she was in is Old School, mainly because after the first scenes you never see her again. She ruined From Dusk Till Dawn and Strange Days for me.
Robin Williams
Will Smith
Jeff Bridges
John Travolta
Tom Hanks
Ben Affleck
Matt Damon (I'll make an exception if it's an all-star cast like The Departed)
Actresses:
Helen Hunt
Holly Hunter
Julia Roberts
ahhh, I had to look her up to remember who that was but I second this.
Any actress with big ass, pumped up, collagen lips!![]()
Juliet Lewis, annoying as she may be, was in Natural Born Killers and Kalifornia. No way is her presence going to keep me from watching either of those.
My feelings on this topic are the same as they were when the thread was started, though. An actor (or director) I like might be enough to get me to watch a movie I wouldn't otherwise be interested in, but a crappy actor (or director) isn't enough to keep me from watching a movie that looks good.
I used to hate that guy but he has sort of grown on me over the years. Don't get me wrong, I don't think he is a very good actor but I don't hate his ing guts like I used to.
That's a good point, but I have a hard time going by that good rule of thumb. Some people just really get to me, like (Hanoi) Jane Fonda. If she wasn't in Monster-in-Law, i probable would have seen that movie by now. Sorry, but I'm just not as good as you in that aspect. The last movie I saw with her in it was "9 to 5."

I don't know what's more disconcerting here: that you'd let an actor's political affiliations stop you from seeing a movie, or that the movie currently being blocked out for that reason is Monster-in-Law.
Kevin Costner and Gwyneth Paltrow.
I don't think any actor would keep me from watching a movie I'm interested in, but I'm not very optimistic about ultimately liking a movie she has a major role in. And yes, I didn't really enjoy Natural Born Killers or Kalifornia - because of Lewis. Although to be fair its been 10 years since I've seen Kalifornia, so I might check it out again.
+1,000,000 on Kevin ing Costner. Waterworld was the LAST CHANCE movie I game him and it ing sucked the diareah out of a diseased s ass.
Nevermind that abortion of a movie, the Postman.
oh yeah,
also
Meg Ryan---AFTER she ed up her face ---and lips with ---whatever garbage they put in her
now she looks like the in JOKER
mark wahlberg cant make a bad movie
classic gs ignorance on full display in this thread
He's a fine actor but The Happening was terrible. He tried, he really did, but you can't spin into gold.
Mark Wahlberg is horrible IMO, and when he doesn't have enough of a great ing cast to cover for him, it becomes glaringly apparent.
You're a moron if you think he was horrible in Boogie Nights or The Departed.
+1
Her going full re in The Other Sister is great unintentional comedy though. Her and Giovanni Ribisi are so incredibly ty at acting like re s that it's hilarious to watch.
Many years ago I was in Toronto for a basketball tournament and low and behold Eddie Griffin the actor was in the hotel bar. I said wasup to him and he was piss drunk. And he said something like "what's up, doctor." I laughed and told him I wasn't a doctor and he got mad for correcting him even though I wasn't being serious. All of a sudden, I'm in a shoving match with Eddie Griffin. Now, I'm not a big dude. I'm like 5'10 and at the time probably around 190-200 tops. But Eddie Griffin is a small man. I'm laughing at the guy while he's trying to shove me. Lol Anthony Anderson broke it up and apologized for him
Anyway, from then on, I vowed to not watch another one of his films. Not because he made bad movies, but I wanted to see him broke. I had to make an exception for Deuce Bigelow 2, which was a mistake. I should have skipped that too.
bette middler .... i would rather be shot than forced to watch beaches
Jamie Foxx
Eddie Murphy
Chris Tucker
Tyrese
Whoopi Goldberg
Jennifer Lopez
to be honest, I didn't think he was that good in The Departed either, but yeah, that's a good enough reason to call someone a moron.
