If Scola regularly played like this in the NBA, then weep. But he can't even get the Rockets into the playoffs.

Ugh. RC Buford didn't like Scola because he supposedly couldn't shoot and couldn't rebound. Good call

Oh and seeing Oberto beat up Splitter like he was going up against his little brother wasn't a good sign of things to come.

I'm kinda glad Brazil is out. As a german and therefore not seeing it through NT's eyes Splitter's health >>>>>>>> Brazil advancing to the next stage.

If the Rockets would have given Scola more the ball and a little less to Trevor ing Ariza they may have got in.

About the game, I ing love this generation, they're one of the clutchest teams I've ever seen, they very rarely come up flat for an important game.

P/S: Yeah, the FO ed up.

shut up pussy why the do we have bonner instead of him
Well, now that's a great point. How do their salaries match up? I'd be up for a Bonner for Scola trade. I'd even throw in Parker.

i did see splitter have a hard time with oberto but not for long when i did you forgot there was help defense on tiago = double teamed pretty much so actually thats a really good sign cause i never saw scola try and guard splitter by himself he was calling for help, and i dont know what kind of weed brasil has but it must be really strong to keep a guy like barbosa in the game during the fourth and splitter on the bench when theyre getting hammerd in the paint!!

I did not see Oberto doing that. I did see him floping and getting away with a lot of contact though. Came crunch time he was sistematically beaten.

Congratz to Argentina. Brazil couldnt stop Scola. I will complain though with some calls in the end, like Tiago receiving tons of contact in the paint and the last Scola steal/foul on Barbosa.

    Whott anyone?

Scola tried to miss the last FT.

    He literally couldn't.

    What a game by Barbosa.
I loved that 30 footer in the first half with Slitter wide open and waving his hands under the basket. The guy has a BB IQ of a watermelon.

The Refs tried as hard as they could to bail out Brasil and they could't. Nobody could have beaten Luis Scola tonight.

i agree as a selfish spurs fan as the game was ending i was kind of happy cause this tournament exposed tiago to u.s.a centers and pwr forwards it also kept him in top shape and then with this early exit he should be rested/conditioned having a good balance as he enters training camp, i also think this defeat will make him more hungry during training camp rather than winning everything before you join the nba ya know?

he is a good passer inside and got good instincts.

depends what pop want to do with him but twin towers kinda plays gonna pass the tests IMO

The big question is what a player like Scola is doing in Houston.

If there was an NBA type of player in Brasil, it was Huertas.
