Scola wouldn't have had these numbers if Ginobili was there, who else does argentina has to score? Delfino? guy is a scrub I don't know why some Spurs fans wanted him here he's pretty much a poor man's rudy fernandez..Scola when guarded by Splitter, shot some tough shots in which some of them he made. I still think Splitter will be the better player(5 years younger) for the spurs of course Scola will always be the better scorer but Splitter I believe will still be the all around better player

overall splitter isnt a huge scorer but is definitely decent and has some post moves that in itself at 7ft tall is better than dwight howard haha jk but like i said what i love about splitter is his passing and his awesome interior defense think about how many inside baskets scola had?
give props to scola where its due the man hit some damn good jumpshots and alot of them mainly because splitter was down low and did you guys notice how scola drove and worked it down low when splitter was sub'd ? now just wait till splitter is kidnapped by chad forcier and chip engelland you can imagine the potential for splitter seeing that he hasnt even plateaued with his skills so this should be very interesting spurs fans

Delfino would have made a better job of replacing Bowen than any other player the Spurs has had after his retirement.

Splitter made it through the WC without injury and can now start getting settled in San Antonio.
Scola went into beast mode and now we can be entertained by the mini-meltdowns that his performance will cause.
I think many here have way too high expectations for Splitter specially on offence witch is far from ready to succeed at NBA level.
He has good hands can catch passes and can also pass very well for a big. He's also good setting screens and rolling witch is good for the Spurs offence, he may become a good weapon on pick n roll offence specially with Manu setting good screens just like Oberto use to do when they played together.
Also RC compare him to Varejão in the first place as to what they were expecting him to do in the NBA and it's not like he's going to get a lot of shots on the Spurs too.
Defence and good rebounding it's what the Spurs need from him tbh and that's what I want to see if he has. Don't care much about his offence at this point because I'm not really expecting a lot from him.

Until Scola wins a championship for Houston I will not regret this,especially being led by injury prone 7'6 piece of ****(got it from Rogue) not too sure if we would of won another championship with him maybe in 2008 we would of beat the Lakers not sure if we would of beat Boston, Spurs would were on there final leg by the Lakers series.

Scola has plenty of opportunities with the Rockets. He's a great Euro player and a good but not all star level pro. He couldn't duplicate his FIBA success in the NBA.
All of those players move off the ball, the reason we got rid of Turnover Ariza is because he did not fit.
We overpaid for him in the first place, glad Morey corrected that mistake after only one year.
