    stop rooting for the Saints
real fans root for teams that are hundreds of miles away
How can I bandwagon the home team? Oh, you wouldn't know anything about that since you root for the Cowboys AND the Patriots.

Such loyalty to two lesser known and praised teams.

According to butthurt Saints fans haters such as yourself, nobody in New Orleans ever watched the Saints before last season. It's kind of similar to the widespread belief that people in L.A. discovered that the Lakers existed when the Gasol trade went down.

    redzero, mediafire! It's down! It's down!The horror.

tbh what's funnier than you being a fairweather Saints fan is how loosely you're using the word butthurt in this thread while most of your posts ITT are drenched with butthurt.

he roots for teams where his family is from, how dare he

My posts are drenched with butthurt? I made one post in this thread and you started crying about me being a fairweather fan, cause apparently you can tell by me making one post on one sports forum about the Saints.

    Stay mad, my friend.

sons this isn't Madden where you can just turn the game off whenever you're mad. In baseball how about they go back and take away all of Roger Clemens strikeouts and wins. Or take away Barry Bonds and A-Rods home runs, hits, etc. as if they never happened. the NCAA needs to grow up and allow these athletes who are making MILLIONS of dollars for them a little bit of slack. Regardless if what Bush did was wrong or not, I just don't agree with a punishment technique of going back in time and taking away victories, trophies, etc. as if it never happened.

Yeah but you have to do something....its not fair to penalize current players and coaches for something that happened when none of them were there.

yea but its absolutely ridiculous for the NCAA to get so childish about it and play "time machine" and go back and take wins and trophies away. College football is already tarnished enough as it is with their NEVER being a legit National Champion each year, and now this type of crap.

The problem isn't the players, the schools, or the agents ... its the NCAA and their greed. If they weren't so damn uptight and didn't treat their players like slaves then maybe we wouldn't have as much of this under the table type of crap. I think that college athletes should be allowed some type of small salary/allowance for the time they put into their sport. These kids (not the school, not the coach, not the NCAA) are making MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of dollars for them. The coaches can be wined and dined all over the country and make ridiculous multi-million dollar salaries, but God forbid a player gets anything over a $100 gift. I'm not trying to say that college athletes deserve huge salaries or anything like that don't get me wrong. But would it be that big of a crime to give each of them somewhere in the range of a $15-25k per year allowance/salary? If its ok for a coach like Les Miles to make like $4 million per year, then I don't have a problem with the kids who are actually earning all of that money to receive a small cut.

and yes, allowing the kid to have a job during football season isn't going to cause some major problem...let the kid work and at least have a little pocket money.

    - at least 12 hours per week of class is required

    - 20-30 hours per week of practice

    - unlimited amount of gym time

    - study time for classes

    - study time for playbooks

It would be hard for any student athlete to have a part time job and maintain all of the above. I say set aside $1-2 million per year (which is chump change for 90% of all Universities) and give each student athlete a yearly allowance of $15,000. In weekly paychecks that would be more than enough to take care of their personal bills and other needs. Again ... if a choke artist coach like Bob Stoops and a never proved himself choking vagina like Lane Kiffin can earn millions, then the players should receive something as well.

yea bush gets what he deserves, I for one am glad they are taking away the trophy send a message to other college players.

I do not agree--cheating or not, he was unquestionably the best player in football that year, IMHO. Stripping him of the Heisman does not change that.
Dude..he may have been, but unquestionably? No...Vince Young was phenomenal that year...he owned everyone. Reggie's last couple of games placed him above Vince...maybe. But Vince was the best player on the field in the most important game of the year.

I think it's hilarious people say that. MavDynasty acted like I didn't have the right to root for the Cowboys because I've only been to Dallas once in my life. Ridiculous. I've probably been a Cowboy fan longer than he's been alive.

Yeah, the ol' "my father's half-brother was from x" excuse.

lol at a fan of the Cowboys and Patriots complaining about somebody else.

I wasn't even posting in this forum for the majority of last season, either. Heaven forbid I make one post about the Saints in the NFL forum.

I think you need to relax and root for two teams at once like any true fan would.
