Bad debt needs to be unwound before either the jobs or housing market can expand again. Propping up homeowners/bankers/Wall Street will only prolong the process.

Propping up the unemployed might have something to recommend it as a compassionate and humane policy, but it doesn't address the basic macroeconomic problem. Only the symptom.

They always try to fix the symptoms, not the problems themselves.

I'm done with voting for the Democrats after the colossal up of blue dog Obama and his criminal congress. I've been done with voting for the Republicans ever since the horse invasion of Iraq. Just voting period in this nation; Carlin's 100% right when he says it's just jacking off and there is no real choice in this nation.

It can take the sting out of writing that check for new equipment if you have a big enough tax liability to cover it, but this is a credit that helps big business a lot more than small business. Small business owners/managers typically pay themselves a small salary. In good years when they have profit they bonus the profit out to avoid double taxation of the earnings (corporate + personal) so they don't typically have large tax liabilities to offset credits with.
I agree. Just another way to trick lib s.

If it mandates capital purchases be taken that tax year, then I'm sure it s most of them as they have more reductions than liability.

Funny, I thought that was the specialty of the evil Repugs. I guess corporatism is a bipartisan sport too.
Always has been, always will be.

For democrats, it's the unions, banks, insurance, etc. Industries requiring authoritarianism to prosper.

For the republicans, it's the remaining corporations that democrats try to hurt.

"The trick to restoring aggregate demand and full employment is to channel that saving into investment."

    It's The Jobs, Stupid.

    It's The Mortgages, Stupid.

It Ain't Investment Breaks For Businesses, Stupid. (aka "impact will be relatively modest.")
    Capital investment. Not financial investment.

Still, capital investment is a waste of money unless crews of workers are highers for the equipment.

Then vote for a 3rd party, but vote. Show your at ude by becoming a growing number of spoiled votes.

, write in Mickey mouse, or some other Disney character for s and grins. I never leave a box blank though. I don't trust election workers, marking blank boxes. I always at least mark other, and write in "none of the above."

If they pass that I am SO going to buy a couple of new work trucks personally in my personal business account (I have a C corp and an S corp), take the tax break, and lease them back to my "C" company. I hate that they are ing up the country but if they are gonna give billions of dollars away just so they can say they are trying to do "something" then I might as well get a free truck out of the deal.

    Thanks Libs!

There you go showing your ignorance again.

An en lement is something that can pay you money. this is a tax write-off which allows you to pay less in taxes.

    Big difference.
