I wonder if Barkley, Ewing, Malone, or Stockton is going to bid.... maybe this is Lebron's only chance of getting a ringArtest finally won a le in June after 11 regular seasons of trying ... and now he's planning to sell the championship ring as a fundraiser to put more psychologists, psychiatrists and therapists in schools.
"I'm never going to put it on," he said.
Artest plans to soon announce details of what he hopes will become a worldwide auction, and he takes possession of the jewelry in an Oct. 26 pre-game ceremony before the Lakers open against the Rockets. It's an incredible gesture. But it's even more meaningful as a statement.
"You work so hard to get a ring, and now you have a chance to help more people than just yourself, instead of just satisfying yourself," he said. "What's better than that? For me, this is very important."![]()

He's selling it so rich kids with scholarships can get more money? WTF? Sell the ring and use the money to clean his dog ted carpets.
Lebron can't afford it, not with "the paycut" he took and all the money he gave to charity![]()
Cobbler is pawning everything he owns as we speak. Wheelchair included...
nope, he was able to get antoine walker's after he pawned his for $20 and a bag of skittles
Cobbler will be very, very angry. Ron Artest is selling the championship ring that he paid for.
Laker fans turning on Gobbler..
I think it's a great thing he's doing, and I never really expected it from him. Hopefully this act will help many people down the road.
Ron Ron might as well pit it up Cobbler's butt cheeks!!!
I read where he's also talking to school kids about mental health!![]()
Could someone please enlighten me on this? I must have missed that thread.
^ TBH, that was![]()
This is great. He's shown a maturity in the last year that is stunning. I'm glad to see he has come through his life and picked up some compassion and empathy along the way. A long way from sneaking alcohol into the Bulls locker room at halftime.
Cobbler actually thinks they won because of him

He played in the Finals, they won it all. That's what counts.
The ring ain't .
I'm a trend setter.
I set trends.
as long as he does it for the kids.
