Let us never forget.

I wish you were in the towers on that day.
It is difficult to forget anything about that day. The smells, images, hurt, anger, fear, empathy, tears, and realizing the historic moment. Ashleigh Banfield was running through the streets of New York and there's car alarms and no one and there's cursing, and she stumbles on this firefighter and she tries to interview him. The man is at a loss he doesn't know what to say he starts about 3 sentences before he burst into tears. I joined him. Before it was like something out of an action movie. When I saw that, when I heard what he saw and how terrified he was, I just couldn't take it. That's the moment that sticks with me.
Amen. What doesn't kill us makes us stronger. So what kills a lot of us makes us much much stronger. USA baby
9 years since it's happened... near half my life. Still, one of the most unforgettable days ever. I didn't pledge to the flag that day, and I'll never forgive myself for it.
We really do take what we have for granted.
and you wonder why there are thousands of people willing to blow americans up...i guess they think exactly like that.
9/11 was the result of decades of american foreign "politics", nothing more.
so are you insinuating that we did this to ourselves...
God, can we leave the analysis for September 12th? This is about the people who died, where you were on one of the most important dates in our history, and being one nation in unity against our enemies. I have strong opinions in an analysis of what came after September 11th, but I don't share them on this day. Please refrain from making this a political debate.
I said it was just a question of time until something like that would happen.
And so did anaylst after analyst. This is why John McCain tried to increase funding in the late 1990s for anti-terrorism programs (something pushed by Bill Clinton). It's something the Bush Administration took lightly and it cost us the surplus, American lives, diminished our reputation abroad--I could go on and on. But this is about the attack, not the reason behind it.
I was in HS and all the ROTC kids were crying thinking they were gonna go to war.
I was in 6th grade and didn't really understand the TRUE magnitude of it at the time,I knew it was bad but just didn't realize how bad
So that justifies it?
Anyhow
R.I.P to everyone who died that day. People need to never forget.
I thought it was more the result of Islamic Extremists who were so delusional that they thought were doing the world a favor or doing the RIGHT thing. Crazy s
I thought such a day should be more about self reflection, why this happened, what "my country" did wrong in the past to force such a result instead of just throwing the good-evil/black-white "Victim/enemy/" punchline.
9/11 wasnt black/white, it was grey...
Thats the important message about this day. Not united against the "enemy" etc.
ok, I'll wait till tomorrow. But if the idea is not to forget, then don't forget 9/11/1973. there was also terrorism and death that day, and the US was involved.
I consider the 19 hijackers my enemies for killing people. It was plotted, calculated, and they did it just because they were Americans. That's all I meant. And, yes, stand against Al Qaeda today and tomorrow and every day until they are eliminated. Examine what we could've done better so it doesn't happen again, but we cannot change what we did. If it contributed to it, again, the only reason is to avoid the situation in the future, not to hand-wring or feel guilty.
For instance, let's say someone sleeps with your wife and you kill the guy in her bed and tell her that it's all her fault that she cheated. It doesn't mean he wasn't wrong. Remember your kindergarten: "Two wrongs don't make a right."

No, I really don't see a pattern here to justify
profiling, do you?
So, to ensure we Americans never offend anyone,
particularly fanatics intent on killing us, airport
security screeners will no longer be allowed to
profile certain people. They must conduct random
searches of 80-year-old women, little kids, airline
pilots with proper identification, secret agents who
are members of the President's security detail,
85-year old Congressmen with metal hips, and Medal of
Honor winner and former Governor Joe Foss, but leave
Muslim Males between the ages 17 and 40 alone lest
they be guilty of profiling.
ADDENDUM: Fort Hood Texas. Another Muslim 39 years
old killed 13 people and wounded 30 some odd
others...
Does this fit the profile ?
NOW OUR COMMANDER-IN-CHIEF (Hussein Obama) IS TELLING EVERYONE
THE YOUNG PEACE LOVING MUSLIM THAT ATTEMPTED TO BLOW
UP A NORTHWEST/DELTA JET AS IT APPROACHED DETROIT ON
CHRISTMAS DAY WAS (QUOTE) "AN ISOLATED INCIDENT".
Just checkin' assholes.
You moronic appeaser. Do you have any idea how pathetic your comments sound?
Idiot.
