But San Diego have one of the weakest fanbases out there. And it's funny, cause they don't even have a basketball team.

The typical excuse you hear from San Diego types is that there are just too many fun and worthwhile things to do on a Sunday rather than attend a lousy Chargers game. As if having an NFL team in your city was no big deal. The other lame excuse they use is the economy and how tough it is. Yet they can afford to live in $800,000 homes but they can't afford to buy NFL tickets. That's bs.

San Antonio would be a much better spot to place the team if they do move because of the rabid nature of the fans here. Let's hope the Spanos' see the light and make the right move next year or in 2012.

selling out when you suck just means that your team can go right on sucking, profitably.

props to charger fans showing some indifference to this slightly-above-average team that was, just a few years ago, the youngest and most talented team in the league

    you AJ

San Antonio has trouble selling out Spurs playoff games, and now they can support an NFL team?

it would be kinda funny if California was reduced to 2 football teams,

That pompous, egotistical idiot Jones has nothing to do whatsoever with San Antonio getting an NFL team. Don't be so brainwashed by the Dallas Cowboy media machine. San Antonio will get and support an NFL team in the near future. There are 32 owners in the NFL who will have a chance at voting on this measure and Jerry Jones is just one vote. Jones would like to think he rules the league but it simply isn't the case. So there is nothing to "get over". Dallas and Jones.

San Antonio is the best city in the world , it can support multiple NFL teams, maybe even have its own division

If it wasn't for Katrina, Payton and Brees, the Saints would be in SA or heading to SA.

That won't happen now because Benson waited too long.

Red Mcombs should of moved the Vikings to SA, THEN sold them.

True. But just because San Antonio's NFL efforts met with failure in the past doesn't mean it can't have success in the future. As the city continues to grow and prosper the chances of obtaining more major league teams improve.

SA deserves to have an NFL team, more so than San Diego, Oakland, Jacksonville, Carolina, Houston...just to name a few.
