Damn! Another reason I may not ever go on a cruise. I tried not to at some of this.

It's sorta funny though, but probably scary for people on board. But I don't know how often something like that happens, but I can't imagine it's a lot.

I've been on a cruise during spring break and they are paradise. All you can eat buffets, drinks, tons of stuff to do on the boat. It really is great. Then of course the beaches and stuff to do when you get to your destinations is another story. Something like this wouldn't deter me from going on another one though, I just wouldn't go during hurricane season.

Well, obviously, it never got that bad on the ship I was on.

It was very calm when I went though. We went to Cozumel, and various other beaches in Mexico and you can never really feel the ship swaying. The only times we felt it was when we started getting close to land, and it's very little. Once you are really in the middle of nowhere, you can't feel a thing. Funny as it may sound, the only time I, and others, noticed it was when we were in the restroom lol.

Like I said, I don't know how often ships get hit with waves like that, but I'd just make it a point not to go during hurricane season for more assurance.

Yeah, lol, I think it's because you're on an object that you need to stay still, and also because its a much smaller space than the rest of the ship so it might be more noticeable, I don't know why but that's just where I could feel it. But it was never so bad that I couldn't go lol. It really didn't hinder my ability to do anything on the ship.

Yeah, lol, I think it's because you're on an object that you need to stay still, and also because its a much smaller space than the rest of the ship so it might be more noticeable, I don't know why but that's just where I could feel it. Haha, I wish that were the case. The booze is not free though, and that's where a lot of these cruise companies make tons of money. Drinks are like $7-10 on the boat. Sucks, but still a good time. Of course, that doesn't include when you stop off in Mexico and get all your drinks for a dollar

When you pay for a cruise, you get free food (and all the time, as it's all buffet style), free iced tea, coffee, juice. Plus, any entertainment (shows, games, etc.) and clubs on board are paid for already. And of course there's a casino.

Still, even though the drinks aren't free it's a good time. They're smart though because they give you a "credit card" type thing so you don't actually have to pay in cash or your own card at the time of purchasing drinks, so it's easy to lose track of how much you're spending, then you get off the boat and see that you spent tons of money for alcohol.

That looked kinda fun! I've been on about six cruises, and I've only felt the ship swaying once during a really heavy storm (nothing like that of course). Most of the time it's very calm once you get out to sea.

My first "cruise" was actually an overnight roll-on-roll-off ferry from England to Denmark. And then another from Copenhagen to Helsinki.
