Manny. You do realize the Dems do the same exact thing. That is the backbone of their entire setup. You do realize this right?
Anybody backing Repugs needs to be "2nd Amendment Remedied", in the Great American Tradition, or at least conscripted into serving in the Repug war-for-oil.
Manny. You do realize the Dems do the same exact thing. That is the backbone of their entire setup. You do realize this right?
Sure, but we're not talking about the Dems, are we? There's no mythic 3rd party coming along to coop the Dems, is there? Obviously the lack of any progress legislation proves they're just as full of .
(I still maintain the full of side that doesn't start wars is slightly better)
Fighting in war is voluntary, taxes are not.
Yeah, I hear those stop loss guys are really over there voluntarily.
Also Democrats haven't raised your taxes.
Holy , that's a pretty damn accurate picture of what is happening. Too bad the MSM doesn't report like this, maybe people would watch them more often.
Sarah Palin will not run for President, she's got tons of influence (among the Idiocracy) and money doing what she is doing now - why would she give it up to run for a le? She's got it made and she'd have to be an even bigger idiot to let go of it.
Now polls are important to this dumbass.
Like I said many, many times any GOP nominee will beat Barry in 2012. Dems need Clinton to boot Barry to the curb. She might even get my vote.
This is totally, totally, correct.
The neocons and the religious right took over the GOP about 25 years ago, and they have been gaining influence ever since.
To paraphrase Reagan "I didn't leave the Republican Party; the Republican Party left me". ...and keeps moving further and further away.
the GOP sold their soul to Ralph Reid and the 'southern strategy' and now have no clear idea who they are.
I read somewhere last night that we (the American voting public) may be in a period of changing the way we vote every two years.
If that is true, I think it might be a good thing for the country.
If we stay upset enough to just keep throwing all the bums out all the time, we may force someone in some party, some time, to step up to a real statesmanlike role.
That would be a change, wouldn't it?
For better and for worse, neither do the likely voters. Much of so-called principle is taken up and defended ad hoc.

Absolutely true as far as it goes.
Your observation tends to support the notion that we may be in a different period for voters. The voters were angry in 2006 and voted out republican control of Congress. They were angry (er) in 2008 and voted in a Democratic president.
They are angry (er) still in 2010 and will likely vote out the democrats. If everybody keeps doing and saying the same things, I think the voters may keep saying "you still don't get it, do you?"
That wouldn't be all bad, in my opinion.
I'm in favor of divided government. It seems to me to work better than if either party has control of the entire government.
Depends on who you pick, but yeah.
I basically agree, but I'm not doctrinaire about that.
Well, they're about to. Restoration of the status quo ante is the functional equivalent of a tax increase -- one that was written into the law to begin with. The Bush tax breaks expire in an election year.
If not extended or renewed.
ducks, who do you say is President now is?
I think you're probably right. Better to be the king maker than the king.
I know who the president is but he has to be the worse president ever
So who do you say is President now is?
yeah, ducks, Muslim terrorist Hitler fist-bumping s make bad presidents, but so far he hasn't lied his way into starting bogus wars, hasn't wasted 1000s of US military lives, his wars haven't slaughtering 100s of 1000s of civilians, so give the a break.
for someone who likes to use polls to prove his point now they don't matter....I hate obama because he's a liar.. I hate liars..but I will vote for another liar because I hate obama..but I hate hime because he's a liar..
do polls matter? yes or no..
