Andrew Jackson quit the senate because he was tired of all the coruption and he turned out to be a very good president.
whereas Palin quit b/c the corruption wasn't paying off as quickly as she had expected.

No, he's not. You're putting words in his mouth and that's unfair. Sarah Palin quit because she was being investigated for stuff and because she was being exposed as inept and brainless - the kind of leader Alaskans and her colleagues in the Alaskan government wouldn't pay attention to. She so quit to avoid the embarassment and cash in on making some money off the loonies wanting to hear her cheerlead whatever cause they want her to cheer for.

I'm not saying she's a political pros ute, but she's a political pros ute.
I saw it as her quitting because she and the government were having to spend too much time and money with all the FOIA requests. may be the largest state by size, but the 47th by population. revenue will be near the bottom also. Her leaving was needed to keep the state from going broke.

    huh?

I saw her leaving as being needed to make herself rich.

Most normal people saw it that way and still do.

    I guess we disagree.

Opportunity does not make motive though. Either way, she didn't leave for incompetence as others suggest.

At the end of the day, it's simply my opinion that she left for money.

The reason I hold that opinion is that she has made $12 million since resigning as governor in July of 09.

Her annual salary as gov was $125k.

No doubt, this was a godsend for her. I just disagree with that being her reason.

Yes, I could be wrong. I just don't think I am.

I call complete bull on this one.

Palin's own estimate of the costs for the investigations was $1.9 million, and that included the regular pay for state employees and staff.

Alaska's budget for fiscal year 2008 was $12.5 billion.

Also, doesn't Alaska make a ton from oil, enough to where they give cash back annually to the people in their state?

No, they are totally impoverished. A few FOIA requests can bankrupt them.

1.9m of 12.5b is a small percentage, but it is a large part of the particular budget item it came out of.

    You and chump are fools.

For now, with savings expected to reach $12 billion soon, the state has some cash to throw around.

To clarify, the budget is just over $3 billion. Apparently Alaska has a savings account of $12 billion.

Palin did a good and noble deed by quitting so that the state could avoid going broke.

I wonder if Bristol will give any winnings from Dancing WTS to the Save Alaska fund.

WC, Yoni, etc are typically delirious, thinking his girlfriend quit her elected job FOR THE GOOD OF ALAKSKA.

Always Follow The Money. She quit to become Wealthy Elite, to lead the pampered, spoiled life of a celebrity. Thank you for this huge stain on America, Wm Kristol and McLiar.

It can be both. Sarah Palin did not fulfill her term in office. She quit halfway through to make a lot of money. Alaska will always remember her for that.
