Now this explains why the only way to play NBA Jam is to buy this piece of abortion.

Is it the only way? You won't be able to get it as DLC through PSN?

    at EA

This game looks like it was made 8 years ago. Choppiest animations I've ever seen.

2k11 is going to stomp this.

Honestly 2k11 doesn't look much better to me. I can't believe in this day and age of gaming that players don't have their own unique style of play by now. Every single player on these games move the same, dribble the same, shoot the same. I was watching gameplay videos of Jordan on 2k11 and it looked ridiculous. It looked nothing like him, played nothing like him. Dude moved like a stiff robot. That's one problem I always had with the 2k series. The game has no "personality". It screams BLAND. Every player moves like a damn robot with no fluidity whatsoever and it's no fun to play that kind of . If I were to play as Manu Ginobili I know for a fact that he moves differently than every other player in the league but in 2k11 he'll be just like every other player in the game. That gets a thumbs down from me. Until either game starts correcting that kind of stuff I won't be buying either.

    picky picky....

I had high hopes for this game, but it looks to disappoint. It is seemingly impossible to create the "perfect" basketball game. I guess maybe I am going to have to give up on it.

I think one of the problems with a lot of sports games now is their desire to be simulations. It seems the days of arcade style sports games are dead. That is what is so refreshing about a new NBA Jam coming out. Too bad you have to buy this piece of to get it on the PS3. Luckily I have a modded Wii so I can just download and rip it.

You're talking about a lack of character or uniqueness, and you choose to rip the 2k series rather than NBA Live/Elite?

That's just ridiculous. 2k invented the signature styles that allow players to mimic their shots and movement styles that they do in real life.

Either watch real basketball or go outside and play because obviously the video games ain't for you. I can't believe you expect the players to "walk and move" differently, you do realize these are games? When you give me an example of a sports le that does exactly what you typed, then I'll be with you begging for it in NBA 2K. Until then, enjoy what they offer or don't play at all.

Plus, I'd die for the day that Tim Duncan or David Robinson are honored and "recreated" in a sports le like Jordan in 2K11. He's getting his own mode, various player models and every pair of his shoes, but that still isn't enough.

Oh, and ten different Bulls teams are being recreated. Not one, not two but ten separate Bulls teams are being recreated so that fans of Jordan can play out his greatest moments. , I'd love it if one championship Spurs team got that much love down the line.

Anyone that has ever defended the Madden/NBA Live series, take a look.

This is the company that makes those games. Even before the Jesus pose , does this look like a legitimate basketball game to you?

EA Sports is trash for Baseball/Basketball/Football. They aren't even worth playing.

Because they got stomped and didn't want to s out another billion for exclusive rights.

Yeah, but at least 2k has made some good baseball games in the recent past. 2k8 was pretty good, if memory serves.

If you want to talk that, Madden for the last gen was great.

2k5 was probably my favorite baseball game ever, Granted, I've never played The Show.

Every sports franchise besides NHL and FIFA have been doing a bad job.

3 pt hook shot ???? rofl

I know Chuck Person (as a Spur) had one vs the Knicks @ MSG, and Mark Jackson vs Lakers in the 2001 Finals, but they were buzzer-beating shots at the end of quarters, not in situations like the one the Elite video
