So let's be clear about silverblk mystix's defense: It was on the job, so he was legally allowed to use his gun. Obviously the situation was an immediate life or death cir stance, so he acted correctly and should be given a medal + compensation for any neck injuries he incurred when the SUV backed into him.
I don't hate cops, but the way this guy defends clearly ed up actions is disturbing.
He was suspended a week without pay.
If you feel he should get a harsher penalty, then you should express your concerns to the proper authorities in Florida instead of to a Spurs messageboard, imo.
Why are you on an internet forum if you don't like/want/appreciate topical discussion? What is the point of you having an account here? These aren't rhetorical questions, I'm actually interested in your response.
I don't see much to discuss other than appropriate punishment. Does anyone really think he was in the right to fire shots off?
Seems to me the point of this thread was for you to try to take a jab at silverblk mystix.
I'm genuinely curious to see if he ever thinks an officer was in the wrong and should be punished as a civilian, not a cop. He is more than welcome to prove me wrong. I don't know why you think you need to defend him.![]()

Very strange sequence of events, but 9 shots seems a little overkill considering how quickly he fired the shots on a "2 bacon, egg, cheese biscuits theft" call.
do you think he should be punished as a civilian in this case even though he was on duty as a cop?
I don't see the need for you to berate him with an entire thread that borders on butthurt.
only 9 shots? he had probable cause to reload and fire again he didn't know if that deranged lunatic in the SUV was gonna come back and kill him
He had every right to defend himself from a possible car-jacking.
So,
Cry-I am still waiting why you got a hard on for cops?
What happened?
Did a police officer steal your girl (or significant other-one never knows) ?
Did a girl you cared about fantasize about men in uniform?
Tell us big guy, c'mon...
It's really funny. I don't hate police, at all. Most of my interactions with them have been completely positive. I'm just curious why you unconditionally defend them as if your life were depending on it. I have defended cops before in threads on spurstalk and other sites, so by all means, keep pitching strawmen up if that's what you need to rationalize your mindset.
That, and i find the lack of logic in your posts incredibly amusing. Individuals like you are why spurstalk remains endlessly entertaining.
Also, way to duck the video. Clearly this officer did no wrong.![]()
i do. 'em!
You are beginning to amuse me.
#1) I have never --unconditionally--defended cops or cops actions. If you can be honest and objective you will see that I usually don't jump to conclusions and I try to see all angles of a situation. For example--I never unconditionally defended the cop that killed those two girls. I asked what your objection was and you stated it was manslaughter. I tried to explain that - that particular case did not automatically deserve a manslaughter charge because it was an accident--a stupid action on the cops part-but still it was an accident.
I also pointed out that (after reading the OP more carefully) that the cop had pled guilty, lost his job, suffered severe leg injuries, etc and basically just said that he did NOT get away with it.
Now--how on earth is that --unconditionally-defending a cop?
Manslaughter--would be if a person is breaking the law by , say, driving while being intoxicated--over the legal limit and then---because of this drinking---he happens to plow into a crowd and kill someone....then it will probably result in at least a manslaughter charge.
The cop ---while doing something really stupid---was actually on duty and responding to a call (even if YOU don't like the fact that he was responding to a call that someone else had already responded to--he was still responding)---so THAT would NOT make it a manslaughter charge---I NEVER said it was right or just or that he shoulda this or shoulda that--I merely stated the facts; that it was not manslaughter.
#2) I am sure you will remember the old prick getting tasered in Marin County california?
I said from the very beginning-that there was probably more to that video than what that TV station aired---and in the end --I was right. It turned out that the old man had threatened to commit suicide--and made his threats in the presence of the responding paramedics-who are bound by law to render aid--as are police officers.
From the very beginning of that scenario--you jumped on the cops and stated that they had NO reason, NO right to be in the old prick's house and they should BURN for that,blah,blah....
Did I --unconditionally--defend the cops?
No--I also said from the very beginning---that IF---IF the cops were there--with NO legal reason---and no legal right to be there...
I clearly said that, yes, they should burn for it.
How is that defending a cop-unconditionally?
Yet, in the final analysis---they had a RIGHT to be there---YET i NEVER heard you admit that you may have pre-judged....you just quietly moved off of the thread and didn't even bother to view the full length video to see all the other stuff that the TV station conveniently decided to omit.
#3) I did not DUCK the latest video--I was at work all day--and then going through some physical therapy --due to a work injury-that just happened to have happened from dealing with some PCP/Meth addict who got a little froggy...and decided that he would assault innocent bystanders and had to be restrained...
but I saw the video and just figured...what's the point?
You-and everyone else here-hate cops..period.
So...it is ok...
As long as most of us here love our spurs...all is good with the world. ok.?
I love my bacon egg and cheese sandwiches, and I'm grateful that someone's out there defending them, mother ers!
was it a carjacking?
or accident?
still 9 bullets is 9bullets..
Now that I've wrapped up 90% of your posts on this site, I notice you still haven't commented on this video.
That's pretty much exactly what I expected of you. Thanks for being predictable.![]()
Like you never commented on the old man getting tasered and all the rest of the facts coming to light and then you disappeared.
Ok
What were the rest of the facts?
IMO you didn't come up winning in that argument, so I don't know why you're bringing that one up anyway.
Nothing about that old man being tasered was justified. Your assessment of the whole thing was pretty bull really.
P.S. The fact that he had threatened to commit suicide was known from the beginning of the discussion. It changed nothing.
I'd fire his ass just for missing nine ing times.
His job is hard
He could killed him
Face to face, I'd knock you out (lol Wild Cobra)![]()
