man i dont know how much ill be posting around here anymore. i lost my dad early this morning. he said a few weeks ago he'd like to see the rangers win a world series before he dies. no idea it would be this soon. i was just about to surprise him with some tickets and fly him in for the first round.. i really hope we can take it this year. peace
wow...I'm really sorry to hear that. My father has had a terminal illness for 21 years...my condolences, my friend...You and your family will be in my prayers. There's really nothing I can say to make things easier, though I wish there were. All I can say is I hope the best for you and everybody who's life your father touched. God rest his soul.

I'm really worried that the Rangers might be tanking because they don't want to get swept in the first round. Would you rather see them get swept in the fist round of the playoffs or participate in an epic collapse and miss the playoffs? If I have to choose, I would pick getting swept in the first round of the playoffs. They haven't made the playoffs since 1999. They need to be in the playoffs again. Damn A's keep winning too.

Win two in Oakland and this baby is clinched. I'd love for us to wrap it up by Friday night so that I can watch from the comforts of my own home. On Saturday, I'm driving down to Houston for the weekend for the Cowboys game. I am leaving in the morning, so I'd be there by the time the Saturday afternoon game starts. But on Sunday, I don't know if I'd get to see any of it. The Rangers game starts at about the time the Cowboys game will be ending, and who knows when I'll get back to Dallas.
So if we don't clinch on Friday night, I'd almost rather us lose three of four and have the chance to clinch when we get home, at games I will be at. However, I definitely will be cheering for us to clinch ASAP.
! I just remembered I'll be at the SMU-TCU game on Friday. , that means there is a possibility I may miss the last three games in the A's series. At least I'd miss it live.
