This is where the boys' start their season.
I'm starting this early. It's time to separate the men from the Boys!
This is where the boys' start their season.
I'm hoping one of two things happens...either Dallas wins, and the veterans finally step up and play, since everyone's healthy, or Dallas gets their asses kicked and Jerry wakes the up and realizes that Wade isn't going to get us anywhere. We're wasting talent on a ty ass coach who can't win.
even if dallas wins, you still want Wade gone...he's 3 genes from a monkey
I've actually heard that alot recently. people hoping the Cowboys get blown out of the water so that there is some urgency in getting a new staff.
#1 priority is Garrett IMO.
the team can manage but by no means is Wade the best coach for the team.
also, I wont lose any sleep if Wade is thrown out with Garrett.
LOL!!! the fool.
Probably going to put aside the division rivalry for this week and root for Houston. 0-3 will ruin Dallas. They'll start pointing fingers, firing staff and who the knows what else. But I seriously doubt Dallas can go on a 9 game win streak with their schedule. Or go on a couple shorter streaks. They'll be dead in the water and somewhere in the world Bill Parcells will be doing this:
And if Houston loses (and Indy wins), then Dallas still has a losing record and the AFC South is all tied up. As long as the Colts handle their , the outcome of the Texas Bowl is a win win situation for me.
With our schedule, there's practically no chance to get back in this thing so I'm hoping we get blown out just to see more of this.
looks like the olllll ball coach is gonna have to talk to the ollll ball coach after det one!

IRVING, Texas -- Coach Wade Phillips' job is not in any jeopardy, Dallas Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said Friday.
"I can just give you a very affirmative 'no,' " Jones told KRLD-FM in Dallas when asked whether he has lost any confidence in his coach, or if Phillips could be fired if the Cowboys fall to 0-3.
Phillips signed a new two-year contract after last season, when the Cowboys claimed their second NFC East le in his three seasons and ended a 12-year playoff win drought.
But Phillips is under fire again after the Cowboys -- who were considered preseason contenders to advance to a Super Bowl that will be played in Jones' new $1.2 billion stadium -- opened the season with losses to two teams that didn't make the playoffs last year.
He referred to this week's game against the 2-0 Houston Texans as an "emergency" situation.
Only five teams in NFL history have overcome an 0-3 start to make the playoffs. The 1998 Buffalo Bills, who were coached by Phillips, were the last team to accomplish the feat.
"I do believe in Wade and the staff and the players," said Jones, who has never fired a coach in midseason. "The thing about it is when you have that kind of commitment, one of the No. 1 things you have it for is those situations. Those people are supposed to really be there in hard times. Hard times. That's when you've got to make your best grade if you're deserving of that commitment and we're in hard times.
"That's why I'm in the saddle with Wade and in the saddle with the staff and the team."
During the news conference after Phillips signed his new deal, Jones made it clear that the contract didn't necessarily guarantee the coach job security. The Cowboys needed to win for Phillips to be assured of a return in 2011.
Phillips, whose job status has been a hot topic the past two seasons, consistently has said that he doesn't concern himself with keeping his job.
"It's my own pride in myself and working at what I do and trying to do better," said Phillips, who is 34-18 as the Cowboys' coach. "We went 11-5 in Houston [as an assistant under his father, Bum Phillips] and we'd just been to the AFC championship game two years in a row. We lost a playoff game and they fired us. I thought I was doing a good job.
"From then on I didn't judge myself on those things, I judged myself on how hard I worked at it and what I tried to do."
lmao Wade is here to stay regardless of whether they win or lose.
Cowboyfan doesn't seem to realize Phillips isn't their true problem. Even if they fire Phillip, what does Cowboyfan expect? Gruden or Cowher to accept a contract as Jerry Jones' puppet boy? Fat chance. Phillips will get fired and Jones will bring in a new coach who will always do what Jones wants but is equally ty at coaching as Phillips is.
if you follow the Cowboys closely, you'll realize that JJ says that stuff all the time.
he said "T.O. will be on the 09 roster".....
then released him.
what comes out of his mouth has no value.
rest assure, wins are what matter.
0-3 is 0-3.
Jerry wants to win.
Jones always says someone's job is safe...it's a constant..you can't believe him when he says that...if people really start ridiculing him, he'll do what it takes. Jerry's pride won't let him keep losing. If we get our ass handed to us, hopefully he'll wake up. I want Wade gone one way or another...he is not a leader..has no guidance. But it's going to take an ass whooping for Jerry to do anything about it.
And if he does he'll just hire a new puppet who won't be an improvement over Phillips, Jerry Jones is a rich man's Al Davis at this point who is lucky to be left with a team that Bill Parcells loaded with talent before he bolted.
So pumped. I head out in a couple of hours to head to H-Town. This is my first game at Reliant since 2003. It was Tennessee..and I was sitting in the end zone watching Domanick Davis run right at me for what I thought was the game winning score. Steve McNair to Drew Bennett....game over.
I'm hoping for a completely different outcome this time. Got much better seats(around the 30-40yd line) and this is a much better team. Cowboys season is over if the Texans pull this one out.
No way man! That's badass bro!
You planning on storming the field after the game?
funny..I thought it was only Week 3..didn't know the season would end already.
yep. in the long run, thats what matters.
for every good player Parcells brought, in, a very ty player soon followed.
That doesn't change the fact Phillips and Jones are benefiting from the talent Parcells left them.

ing hilarious how serious TexanFan takes this game. If Dallas was 2-0 and Houston was 0-2 I wouldn't even watch much less spend hundreds to watch the "destruction" live. Cowboys are gonna lose then go on to tank the season and the country will forget about this game.
lol "judgement" day
lol wasting your money on a meaningless game
I agree..but Parcells was not what this team needs...neither is Wade..we need a happy medium...his name is Jon Gruden.
my point exactly...judgment day? come on...
