I seen some threads lately criticizing the supposed devotion of Lakers fans. And I'm here to tell my fellow Laker fans not to defend yourselves against these accusations.

We live in the greatest city in world, Los Angeles, California, and to be a "hardcore fan" like these obese heart-failures-waiting-to-happen Mavs and Spurs fans just isn't our style.

Out there in dust and tumbleweed land, they don't got much else but sports, so naturally, they live vicariously through their favorite teams. But we LA citizens are a different breed. Being a "bandwagoner" and "fairweather" is the only logical way to express our fandom.

See, we got the beach, Hollywood, the best nightlife on planet earth, desperate actresses just waiting to anything that moves if it gets them closer to s om. With all that, why the would we park ourselves in front the TV night in and night out, shoveling trans fats into our mouths like these Texas shulbs do, when we can be out on the town, wheeling, dealing, and getting laid?

I love the Lakers. I really do. But like most LA Lakers fans, I love them like a really cool accessory, similar to how I love my CL600 Benz.

And that's what tortures these slabs of pork fat over there in Texass. That we can be so casual in our fandom, yet are rewarded with the most success.

And it in' kills them.
