So pumped. I head out in a couple of hours to head to H-Town. This is my first game at Reliant since 2003. It was Tennessee..and I was sitting in the end zone watching Domanick Davis run right at me for what I thought was the game winning score. Steve McNair to Drew Bennett....game over.

I'm hoping for a completely different outcome this time. Got much better seats(around the 30-40yd line) and this is a much better team. Cowboys season is over if the Texans pull this one out.

So today was my first Cowboys road game. Can't say I'm disappointed. Had great seats too. I'll post pics when I get the chance.

I will say one thing, and that is the fact that I would find it hard to believe there is another venue in the NFL that has a better tailgating experience than the Texans have. Without a doubt it was probably the best tailgating I've seen for anything. I was very impressed. The setup was top class, the roads running through the blue lots were great.

    I was expecting this.

Romo was looking like Manning out there with the texans weak secondary and no pass rush. We miss Cushing.

    In person perspectives:

It was really great to be back at Reliant. It's been 7 years, so I had forgotten just how incredible the tailgating was. It was literally an endless sea of partying. We had gotten a hotel right across the street so we just walked over. We running a little behind so we only had around 45 minutes to walk the parking lots. If I would have planned better, I would have loaded up a foam cooler with beer and gotten there earlier...and next time I probably won't even buy tickets to the game. I'll just get the same hotel and a cooler a of beer and hang out in the parking lot.

Our seats were as good as I thought they would be...and as I suspected there would be there were a lot of Cowboys fans. We had three full rows of them in front of us...but that was offset by the sea of Texans fans behind me. There was plenty of trash talk, but all in all this group was pretty cool people. But of course, there is the token bag of that is drunk and taking things a little too far. He was very fortunate to be several rows in front of me, because if he would have said some of the things to me that he said to one of the fans down there I would have beat his ass we would have both been thrown out of the game. All in all it was great seats and good company.

As far as the game goes, it was what I expected only worse. I knew the secondary was going to give up some serious yards to Romo but that was a joke...and it was only exacerbated by him being able to sit back there all day. Couple that with the inability to keep the Cowboys pass rush off Schaub and you have a recipe for disaster. And of course, there was the multiple turnovers that were vintage Texans. Watching the long interception by Schaub through was a gut punch. You could see it coming before the ball even got half way there.

When the Cowboys scored on the long pass play to Williams with almost 10 minutes left in the game, the "2-0" fans started to head for the exits. Cowboys fans were giving them , and rightfully so. , I was even giving them ...telling them I was glad they were leaving and we didn't need them anyway. It wound up being a good outlet for my anger at the way the Texans were playing.

Speaking of fans, I don't really want to hear anything else about this being the Texans Superbowl and this game not meaning as much to Cowboys fans...because from what I saw after the game it was very much the Superbowl for them. There were even several running around the inside of the stadium with Cowboys flags over their backs like Superman capes. lol.

Once we got back outside it was good to see the "working man's fan" in the parking lot was still in full party mode and showed no signs of packing up and leaving anytime soon. Many of them gave us dap as we walked by saying, "it's just one game man." This made me wish I had stayed outside with them even more and further fueled my decision to do exactly that next time.

Regardless of the outcome, it was a great experience. Hopefully I can get down there for one more before the season ends.

you, apparently, dont go to many Cowboy games. dont try to turn it around on the Cowboys. the Texans are, and will always be, IN THE SHADOW of the Cowboys. it comes with the territory of being a Tex-son's fan. so, be a man and deal with it.
