You buy any new media recently? Could be a ty batch with a lot of duds. I've never had a DVD burner crap out on me, so I'd explore media and maybe upgrading firmware.
So, I was burning DVD R DLdiscs all day yesterday. I always burn at x4. I had burned about 3-4 discs then suddenly, it just kept messing up. It started to say it couldn't write certain sectors. I wasted about 3-4 discs, then tried burning at 2.4 with no problems. I let the drive sit for a while, and I could burn at 4 again. I tried a second game, and it messes up. I not just have to burn at 2.4, which is very slow for a 7 gig file. Anyone know what's wrong? Could the 100 degree heat in LA have anything to do with it?

You should burn 2.4X anyway.
No he wants to play those games 15 minutes earlier.
Newegg. One of the highest rated burners. $18. Just do it.
Yeah, these are new DVD's. My shipment usually comes in from somewhere in SoCal, and this time I had to get them all the way from New Jersey. Maybe something ty happened to them while they were on their way here.
tbvh, it's likely that the DVD were manufactured in a different region (e.g. Made in India as opposed to Singapore). I know this was a big thing for RITEK and Taiyo Yuden media back in the day, and is probably true of the Verbs you ordered.
DVD identifier can give you the media code to determine its real origin (can differ from outside packaging).

That seems all weird. Back says singapore.
Once this is down burning in 30 ing minutes, I'll check this out.
How sad. IronBootlegger can't pirate as many games now to sell on Alvera St. to his compadres.
Pioneer drives are the best for what you're trying to do, hands down, and now they're cheap as ...
I also burn at 8x and no problem. Make sure your media are Verbatim. There's nothing like it.
I only buy verbatim. It can't write a sector. Sounds like a burner problem to me.
It's Alvarado Street.

Maybe he meant Placito Olvera. He still spelled it wrong, either way.
Probably. I think I went through 3 liteon in like 2 years... Pioneers have been solid. But at $20 a pop, quality is these days.

Yeah. Spelled it with an A. Haven't been there in years. Not my scene since I'm not a .
But anyhow, is that where you hang out and sell all those pirated Xbox360 games and the like?
I live so far South from that place.
Can't you just steal your answer?
lol, I remember when I used to burn games as a business back in high school. I think my first sale was NBA Live 2000, that was selling like hotcakes.
It was the DVD's. 3 burns so far, and no problems.
always burn on Verbatim DVDRDL's discs for 360 games
DVD RW works better for 360 games.
That's what I said, Holmes. You bought a whole new batch?
I run out fast.
Stop using those Mexican DVD burners. Those little guys inside are such hard workers but they can only do so much before they get tired. My suggestion give them a raise, maybe they will be more motivated. Or just buy one of those high end American DVD burners. Oh wait...
