Although I think this is a true statement, I don't think it's all that atypical of The Corporation in general. Activision is way worse btw. And I think the sentiment that EA doesn't care about the quality of products they put out is more true of EA Sports than it is of the company as a whole; at least if Bioware and Dice have any place in the debate. Furthermore, along with some real stinkers, there have been some fantastic EA Sports les (recently, FIFA and NHL come to mind).

I don't disagree with you, but I don't think it's quite as black and white as your statement would suggest.

Why? They aren't a publisher and probably don't have the resources to be one. What are they supposed to do, focus on smallish, indie development, or get their great, blockbuster games published?

I was less than impressed with either ME. The first one had all the makings of (IMO) the greatest, most complete game to that point, just came a good bit short of pulling it all off. ME2 took some of those unhoned but still great ideas out (like acutally exploring planet surfaces), focused it almost completely on contextually small scale missions and combat, and deadened even further the "flora and fauna" so to speak. Both great games, but they coulda been the next generation of gaming, I think.

How? Exploring larger, more "living, breathing" worlds, both mission side and on the rover, affecting the universe in more subtle ways, greatly expanding the inventory/item systems, etc. JMO though.

They tried so hard to remove ping-pong passing, that they made passing feel completely unresponsive. You can defend (and the CPU defends) by running into you.

I put down my controller in stoppage time of the first half because I was tired of the controls, and somehow I gave away a penalty WITHOUT PLAYING.

I'm digging it the more I play it. Regular passing is now a lot harder. Crossing is much easier, though.

I'm going to buy whichever soccer game is better this year, period. But even in the days of Winning Eleven, a lot of magazines said Fifa was better, just because it was an EA product.

Making an A to B pass between two open people shouldn't be a chore. I'm not sure why they thought this would represent realistic gameplay more. No way I'm playing this long-term.

Been playing on World Class. I've won 3 games 1-0 and lost one 2-0. I might try legendary next, but I just can't stand the controls.

I've never ever tried legendary. I'm good at World Class. I'm 8-2 so far in my Career mode with MANU. I beat Chelsea and then lose back to back games to Wolverhampton and I forget who else.
