son yea a win is a win, but this is absolutely nothing to be proud of. If not for Tennessee ing up and putting 13 (lol) players on the field, we lose the game. Our passing game is getting better with Jarrett Lee, but Miles has too much pride to give him a fair chance. His boy is Jefferson and he is bent on proving to everyone that Jefferson is better. Lee is 90% of the reason why we won today's game to begin with. He led the team down the field only to get pulled by Miles with 45 seconds left for his boy Jefferson to up.
Its the same bull that we had to deal with whenever JaMarcus Russell was here. Both Russell and Jefferson are like 6'5 and have all the physical talent in the world, but nothing upstairs. However both coaches (Saban & Miles) were bent on playing them over shorter, but smarter QB's ... The funniest part is that JaMarcus Russell spent 3 years as the starter here and we won the two National Championships during his RED SHIRT freshman season when he didn't play, then during the first season he left for the NFL with Matt Flynn as the starter. Physical talent will only get you so far ... and both JaMarcus "Sippin on dat Sizzzzzurp" Russell and Jordan Jefferson prove that.
Son, I agree with your assessment, especially about QB's. LSU will have to continue to rely on their stingy defense as the year goes forward. Seems like a lot of LSU fans are growing tired of Miles. There is no good reason that offense isn't better than it is. Haven't had a chance yet to watch them, but the box scores haven't been pretty
Nevertheless, as I said before, your D will keep you in games.
