John Bolton "Very Seriously" Considering 2012 Presidential Run

That would be an entertaining election cycle.

I'd think liberals would be happy, Bolton is ing nuts and paired with Palin it would be, as B_D says, suicide. Bolton wouldn't come close to winning a single caucus/straw poll/whatever if he actually ran for President.

I'm all for Obama kicking Biden out and taking Mitt Romney as his VP. That's what he should have done from the start. That'd be tight, IMHO.

    "Mitt Romney as his VP"

Mr Inherited Wealth is your typical dumb Repug, as dumb and foot-in-mouth as Biden.

He said his 5 boys were too busy serving their country campaigning for him, then when he lost, did they all go sign up for the military?

Yoni, WC, Jack, etc would have hard-ons for months (oops, can less assholes have hard-ons?) if pitbull ran. Her sub 30%/dubya-level approval ratings are encouraging. Even Alaska disapproves of the venal quitter.

Mitt Romney looks like the likeliest GOP nominee to me, but we're still a long way out.

I think Mitt would have a hard time convincing a lot of people he is right for the job, but I would support him. The points people talk about as bad about him, I disagree with already. However, they are a hurdle.

If the GOP wanted to punt in 2012, sure.

Also, why double down on that which led to the GOP's departure from national power to begin with? 2012 should be about spending, taxes, and employment, which, of course, would seem to point towards a Romney or a Jindal.

I don't see how the Republicans could possibly nominate Romney with all their ing about Obama's health plan and the mandates. Maybe they've painted themselves into a corner where they'll have to run a jackass like Palin. I can't picture Jindal (who came off as Mr Rogers reading The Little Engine That Could in his opposition to Obama's first big presidential speech) being able to sell well to the public.

Gov. Jindal's debut on the national scene was not propitious in a good way.

No doubt it was a learning experience. There is little doubt the intervening BP spill has seasoned him further, while propelling him momentarily into national prominence.

Palin's too smart to run. Her unfavorables with independents is just too high and she can read polls.

I don't think the neo-cons will wait to control the WH and Congress again.

If the Repugs win control of Congress, the MIC will start trashing Magic Negro as soft on terrorism, soft on NatSec, and the need to bomb Iran.

Hyping threats and scare-mongering is the basis of Repug/conservative "philosophy" to keep the redistribution of wealth from taxpayers to the MIC.

Magic Negro voted against Iraq (how many neo-cons voted against Iraq?), and he wants out of Iraq and Aghanistan, but the MIC makes the war decisions, not civilians.
