I've only ever posted on the ESPN community. Lakers and Spurs boards. Everyone there is familiar with me. I came to this board specifically as a response of a challenge issued by a Spurs fan. Is it really that hard to understand?
Why didn't you come over to the Spurs board earlier? You know, while the Spurs were winning it all? Frontrunner and butthurt? That's a double-whammy right there.
Your pre-1997 comment is irrelevant. I simply can't answer for every poster in here and what they know. I personally know the Spurs were called the Dallas Chaparrals back in the ABA days until they moved to San Antonio in '73. We had a decent run during the Gervin years, even if we couldn't win it all, then some rough years until DRob came around.
We celebrate the Duncan era because it's undeniably the most successful era of our team (so far). I don't see how that should be held against any Spur fan though.

I really like the convenience of online sports forums. I guarantee history2b would not walk into a bar in San Antonio during a Spurs game and spew all this "Lakers are teh bestest, PLEASE BELIEVE ME," nonsense. Therefore he hides behind his faceless account and types incessant garbage in attempt at putting a "dose of reality" into us Spurs fans. Classic case of trolling if I've ever heard of it.

No...I know the word, it's a Mallrats thing. If you've ever been to San Diego Comic-Con and listened in on a Kevin Smith Panel, the word Callow is just plain funny, besides...it fits historyfreak well.

you need to step up your game here and from what I have read from your posts so far, you got a stair case to climb.
You might want to spend some time 1 floor down in the NBA forum to refine your game.... you might learn something from some real laker bandwagoners about trash talking.

Yes, your a Laker fan, and yes I hate you for that, but Im telling you..... you dont want to mess around up here coming from that kids board on ESPN.... you WILL get owned.
Take a few steps down and head to the dregs of Spurstalk along with all the other Laker, Maverick, Heat and everyother fan that comes to talk .... They all end up there eventually after trying their on the top floor of this site.
Your only asking for trouble if you try and push up here when it comes to the Spurs.... The mods wont do anything to you unless you get out of hand, but you WILL get served from some very knowledgable people here, some with real connections in the NBA.

For crying out loud, cut the pseudo-intellectual bull already History2B. Look, we're all very aware that you're vocabulary is exceptional and that big words seem intimidating to the untrained eye. Your entire post was you attempting to be sincere, whilst being insulting to every single Spurs fan here. Don't put up the facade that you're actually being rational, when you're obviously biased because of your preference for the Lakers. Sad thing is, you'd like to set yourself apart from every other Laker fan who blindly insults a honorable fundamental team two states over, but you're just the same, except you wear a mask of logic and sincerity to cover your ass, because you want to dish it out, but you can't take the heat when it comes back around.
San Antonio Spurs will not fret under the weight of a now mundane Laker line-up, & the new youth in the Spurs as you mentioned, will surpass the big three 10x over.

lol..yeah..I've seen him on later post's and his demeanor looks as if it's taken a complete 180.
