Howdy folks, new to this forum and realized that there isn't a "Introduce yourself" board so I figured I'd do it here.

I've already broken the ice with some posters here.

A few things every poster should know about me:

1) I love the game and love talking ball
2) Basketball 1st, Lakers 2nd, players/personnel 3rd
3) I can come off quite frank and objective at times
4) I respect posters who have a realistic view on the game

Your views also reflect my own. People who can't put the game of basketball first, above team and players are easily dismissible as feeble minded homers.

Hopefully there will be a few good posters here who can prove that not all Spurs fans are delusional fan boys or just straight trolls like Chump dumper. He's been following me around like a lost puppy for days now; classic troll tactic.

This was your second post in SpursTalk as tbonewalker. You list the Spurs as your team and you initially used the word "we" when speaking of the Spurs:

I made a previous thread on many of the points the author presents..

Among them:

- Teams will continue to go at Tony and George

- Spurs fans will panic after another disappointing season for their beloved team.

- In the playoffs, the Spurs starters failed in a miserable manner to contain the Phoenix bench, led by 6’4” shooter and disher Goran Dragic.

- Head coach Alvin Gentry out dueled Popovich in their chess match

- Everyone will blame the Spurs demise this season on Duncan’s age, but the fact is that the Western Conference is bigger and better

- Phil Jackson would love to cause the Spurs’ to rebuild.

Bozo? Chill out, ohm.

Because I laid out a few facts about the Spurs back court defensive deficiencies? Because I reminded the board about Pop getting outcoached by Alvin Gentry?

If you spent as much time looking into the points I brought up in that thread as you did attacking the messenger, you'd be on base and we could discuss those points like basketball fans without agendas.

I'm not going to point the finger at you alone but there are many team first fans here who have an agenda to pump up anything and everything about their team with homer glasses on. Don't be one of them, and you'll "like" me.

The only posters who have ever had a problem with me on any forum are team first fans who will disagree with another team fan at all costs even if they agree deep down.

I add objective value and soon enough, if you give it a shot, you'll find out for yourself.

I have plenty of neutral basketball thread topic ideas already brewing, but I'd like to know that there are actually some posters here who like to participate in basketball discussion without being 'Disagree Debbie'.
