Just go to best buy and get a wireless-n router. This one has pretty good reviews and it's reasonably priced. If you really wanted to you might be able to save a few bucks online at Newegg.

Hi guys! So yall have been extremely helpful in the past with my lame questions..so hopefully yall can help me some more.
I have time warner cable for internet. I recently got rid of my Pc for 2 laptops. I just hate cords. I asked the guy what could I do he said get a router at time warner or buy your own. So I know nothing about routers other than they help connect to the webs threw a network or whatever. I went online to see and oh wow tons and tons of routers. So here is the question.. wtf am I getting?
I want to connect wireless to the internet for basic web browsing and netflix. Whats the best way to do this? Model number or brand? I also want to stream it through my 50" tv. Anyway to do that with out using a vga. Member wireless!

Anyways, on to a real answer...You're going to need two things.
To get online wirelessly, you are going to need a wireless router. The newest ones on the market are Wireless-N technology, and can be found at just about any Walmart/Best Buy/Frys for $30-$60. Linksys, DLink, and Netgear are all very common brands. The one PM5K listed is a good middle ground.
Apple's Airport routers are the easiest to set up if you have a Mac, but are a expensive. If you don't know much about routers and security, follow the instructions to get it set up, or talk to their tech support.
As for streaming wirelessly to the TV, you're going to need a separate device that is capable of doing that, such as an AppleTV, Roku, Slingbox, or WDTV. These are a little harder to find and more expensive, but should be available at most tech stores.
As far as I know, I don't think there is any device that will do both.

Setting up wireless at home is pretty easy too. Dont' let the Best Buy fools trick you into paying a hundred bucks or something to set it up.

Just so you know, its not a revelation, she has been here for a while and even asked a few questions in this sub forum. She also had a picture up (different one than now). That being said, she will probably be a little more uncomfortable going forward after this thread.
