    Big minutes for the Lakers Starters - 41 for Odom, 36 for Gasol, 30 for Fish (wasn't Blake supposed to be taking over for him)? And 24 for Kobe; I guess his knees better than "60 %" for him to be playing that long in a pre-season...

    Congrats to Barca ... no excuses we lost. I wont be surprised to see other games like this from timetotime. We are going for our 4th straight finals and we are supposed to get "up" for a pre-season game? Or a mid season game at Toronto or cleveland? My guess is Lakers start off sluggish ...and will be inconsistent most of the year. They will not catch the Heat or the Magic?Celts for HCA but they hang on for it out West.

    and why wouldn't they? The Lakers are there to sell the NBA brand, that is why the NBA sent the most popular team (with the most popular player). It would be rude for them to just tank it, so they play Kobe half the game to appease the crowd. The Lakers are there to sell jersies and chase euro-tail...Mission accomplished on both fronts no doubt
