If you had to make a decision to cut one guy after this game, which guy would that be?

I'll try to make one of these after each game.

Are we judging based off of this one game? Or do we take into account all that we know about the player and team needs as well.

If it is solely this game: Temple

If it is all things considered: Simmons

i would only keep neal and temple, but i guess we should have a 6th big to warm the bench, so we'll have to wait and see if croissant is better than gist. both have + and -. croissant got killed by hill in the first half; gist proved he had no 1-on-1 post game.

Whatever you feel like, really. I'm hoping to do this after every game because you get a fresh impression.

    Really? Very interesting . . .

He didn't look good tonight, but who of Cousins, Gist, Jerrells and Penney makes it over Simmons?

If you're taking just today's game, I would take Cousins and Jerrells over him.
CJ played good D and I feel we're going to need more of that than offense.

I was very impressed with Cousins, but I'm reasonably sure they will develop him in Austin. Jerrells played good tonight, but there is a logjam at his position.

Sorry but your opinion is wrong. To suggest that Penney did the worst out of that group is laughable. You must not even watch these games.

Penney's not super amazing, I'm not trying to hype him up here, but to suggest that he was the worst tonight of that group is laughably ignorant.

If we're going to keep Simmons just for s and giggles, just leave the spot open and see if we can trade for somebody come January. I don't want another centerpiece getting minutes out there.

I was comparing it more to players at his position fighting for a spot. For the shooting, I would keep Penney over him. The defense between the two is a wash for me.

For upside and defense, I would keep Gee over Simmons.

For overall game, I would keep Neal over Simmons.

I just don't see a spot for him overall considering his age and upside.

I didn't say he was the worst just think he has the least potential.

Jerrells really has no realistic ability to help this team. If it comes to a point where he plays significant minutes we are already in the tank. Temple is still working back from an injury just like Anderson so I give them both a pass. I still want to see more from Gist, Cousins, and Gee. I feel like we already know what Jerrells max is going to be.

I am just hoping he is out of shape and was having an off night. I'm not advocating keeping him, but I would think that they give a legit NBA guy another opportunity or two and see if he can revive that talent.
Penney can shoot, but those looks aren't going to get easier and I can see him being a real liability on D.
As far as I am concerned Gee and Neal are making the squad.

Spurs need to be all over the Melo deal to bring Chandler in if it ever transpires.

The Masterpiece should be cut by the end of preseason.
