Jerrells. He literally has no shot of making this team and due to his style of play, he is useless to us. Why are we even keeping this guy around? Cut him.

i didnt see the game but yeah bonner lol
The cow's on to something Spurfan.
It's already October.
Simmons no question. He looked like he didn't belong in the NBA anymore. Gist was my second choice.. but I'm not ready to give up on him.. he has a better upside.
Oh yeah, where is Penney? He would be my first choice. But I guess we are assuming he is a lock already to get cut first.
Bobby Simmons is a of a guy. He's a legend with my Clippers. He won the Most Improved Player of the Year award with us.
But mostly, he had good weed.
I thought Gist played pretty good defense but tried to hard on offense. I think if he just focused on rebounding, and setting picks he would look much better.
Considering only this game Temple easily. He was terrible.
On Penny.. we're not looking for guy to be a star on even a major rotation guy. but some one who can contribute in the limited minutes given him. Penny might be able to that (a no error , decently efficient guy) i'm not sure you can get that from Gist or Gee. You're bascilly rolling the dice anytime you put those guys in , even for limited minutes
Bonner and RJ, both are useless.
LMAO didn't know most ppl put Bonner too. dude is useless. and so is RJ btw tbh
All of them and RJ, Hill, Bonner...
Penny is a smaller version of Bonner.
As badly as Temple played, the last person I want to cut after last night is Jerrells. As badly as Hill ran the offense, there's certainly no logjam of point guards on this team.
Well, I can pretty much guarantee that G-Hill will not be that bad very often and I still like what Temple showed us last year, but yeah, he was awful.
Still, Hill/Anderson/Gee/Neal/Penney/Jerrells/Temple = logjam
How many potential backup guards do the Spurs need?
Understood, but guarantees have nothing to do with the point of the thread, which is: What would you do based on the Rockets game?
I've got no problem cutting some of the swingmen, but there is not a logjam of point guards. One could make a rather convincing case that the Spurs don't have a single traditional PG on the roster. You can't just give the ball to anyone and expect the offense to run. See Mason, Roger. That said, it will probably happen; we currently have a front office that seems to think the team can make up for what they've lost defensively by hitting more three pointers.
If that is indeed the point of the thread, then the better question would be, "Who performed the worst in the first preseason game?".
The answer: Garrett Temple
Are you willing to cut Temple based solely on last night's peformance?
I'm glad I don't need to plead that case.
Maybe so...I guess your looking for smaller versions of TD? not sure what your looking for in an outside shooter
I'm already on record saying I wouldn't cut a point guard, and the Rockets game reinforced that sentiment. Temple can stink it up for another game or two before I start thinking about cutting him, and he's still probably the last one I make. If somebody wants Temple or CJ's spot on the roster, and it's my call, they're gonna have to give me a reason. That said, I'm also watching the wire to see who other teams are letting go.
That makes two of us.
