That's funny. After he dropped 45 points on TD, Robinson, and Sean Idiot, y'all went out and got Bruce Lee Bowen. Why would y'all do that for a sidekick?

    Now you just trolling. Gotcha

Because the Spurs had Terry Porter, Danny Ferry, and Steve Smith trying to contain a top 5 perimeter player. If Bowen is available, you get him. Simple as that. And the very next year, Bowen proved his worth by holding Kobe below his season averages. Even outscored Kobe in Game 2 .

Make no mistake, Shaq was always the primary focus, but pre-Bowen, the Spurs had enough to contain him with Robinson and Duncan, while Kobe was getting fat off their weak perimeter defense.

Kobe's performance against the pre-Bowen Spurs are some of the most overrated and exaggerated examples to cite when you Kobe fan s attempt to bolster his role on the 3 peat Lakers.

I know, I know. You idiots want Kobe's 5 rings to be as legitimate as they can for the purpose of propping up his all-time great status, but why should he be exempt from the standards other players are held to? Kobe has 2 rings as the main man, and no amount of clever rewritten history from you morons is going to change that.

And like I said, rings are a team accomplishment.

And Kobe has 5 of them. Former Wizard Jordan still has 6, so, he's ok for the moment.

    Relax.

Quite a number of players have an equal or greater amount of rings than Jordan.

    Are they better players?

But, but..... but he has more rings. Shouldn't he be the better player? Kenny Smith thinks he is better than Gary Payton too, because he is also a Kobe fan.

I would love to see some footage of Danny MFing Ferry being used by Pop to check Kobe. Now you tripping.

There is no mistake in my logic. PJ mandated that Shaq be the focus of the offense - and since it worked - why mess that up? Truth be told, Kobe was ready in 2002 to lead the Lakers but Shaq would have been butthurt if PJ let that happen so he didn't. It worked, so who am I to argue? Just for s and giggles: he averaged 22.5 in 2000, 28.5 points 2001, he went for 25.2 ppg in 2002 - so don't give me that sidekick . I know there are Kobe haters out there, but fact is: he averaged 25.4 ppg during our 3peat. That's why I said he played a major role in all of his les. 25.4 ppg as a "sidekick" during our 3 peat, and 29.8 ppg after the big do-nut eater left LA for 2 more (and counting).

KoME needs an All Star big to win the ring. Jordan never did. End of discussion. KoME is the GOATIHMAFLF guard. That is how it will always be. I guarantee you that MJ was never breaking down film of Dr. J and copying HIS moves the was KoME copied MJ's.

I know there are Kobe haters out there, but fact is: he averaged 27.9 ppg during our 3peat. That's why I said he played a major role in all of his les. 27.9 ppg as a "sidekick" during our 3 peat, and 29.8 ppg after the big do-nut eater left LA for 2 more (and counting).
Lol. No he wasn't. He tried to take over the '03 series against the Spurs, turning it into a personal challenge against Bowen, and essentially shot your boys out of the series. Then in '04, he set his sights on the Finals MVP and proceeded to cough up one of the worst performances by a superstar in Finals history.

And as good as Kobe's stats were during the 3 peat, Shaq's were some of the greatest of all time during that stretch. He was Shaq's inferior, anyway you slice it. Sorry.

Look, I have your love interest top 10 all-time, but it's going to take some truly outstanding performances for him to enter Jordan/Kareem/Magic/Bird territory. But top 10 isn't good enough, is it? If we don't consistently wipe Kobe's sperm off our faces daily and concede that he's a top 5 player who is nearing Jordan's level, we're "haters." Right?

Rodman was an all star. He should be a HOFer but he probably will get in post-humanously. I'll guarantee you that MJ did watch Dr. J. And if Kobe did copy MJ, who the cares? He said he has a lot of all-time greats moves in his arsenal. Last Summer he worked out with the Dream to fine tune his post game. I fail to see what's wrong with that.

Jordan speaks the truth. He understands the flaws in Kobe's game and is fully cognizant of the fact that (a) Kobe Bryant won over half of his rings as a second option, (b) repeated during the weakest two years the NBA has seen in a very long time, and (c) is big man dependent.

Besides, rings are team accomplishments. If you want to compare individual numbers, MJ's resume curbstombs Kobe's, then throws it in a grave, covers it with dirt, and takes giant piss on it.

Mid I bet you woke up..saw this quote from MJ...and after shedding a few tears...looked in the mirror and solemnly said: "There is a god after all."...after that poignant moment you reached for the chicken feather to tickle your ass but you realized you needed something much stronger than a chicken feather.
