i've listened to lots of quality stuff across the board with respect to genres, and while this may not be the best album of the year, it's turned into a quick favorite of mine and hasn't gotten tired after tons of spins. that said, there's quite a few albums scheduled to release during the 4th quarter i've been waiting on, so this is definitely subject to change.

Since Bruce came back for Brave New World, they've gone on a run with Dance of Death, Matter of Life and Death and the current alblum that rivals the run of Number of the Beast, Piece of Mind, Powerslave, 7th Son of a 7th Son and Somewhere in Time.

Amazing the quality of work they continue to produce after 30 plus years in the industry. Up the Irons!

Diamond Eyes is the best work the Deftones have ever done, imho, and I've been a fan of theirs from the beginning. It's definitely one of the best albums this year.

But tbh we all know that the new Panda Bear album is going to kick every other album's ass.
