Sorry, but I think Oregon will remain blue in 3 of the 5 congressional districts.
WC is not so sanguine. You're probably reaching, yonivore.
Yoni's map has Republicans winning Texas 23rd too which is still a tossup.
It's partially hopeful thinking of the creator, I'm pretty sure. There is little doubt that three districts in Oregon will remain blue. Afterall, we are the capital of the north-left coast.
What actually may be even bigger in this election cycle than congressmen is the amount of Republican governors getting elected. Winners get to re-draw the congressional districts for the next 10 years.
Yay rigged democracy. Maybe we can have Delay come back and show us how its done.
I know. Imagine this. Chris Dudley may become the governor of Oregon!
meh. Delay was a piker compared to some of the past masters at gerrymandering....California seems to be a big player in the tourney.![]()
Delay is a promising amatuer tho.![]()
What was it Obama said in that healthcare meeting with republicans a few months ago? Something like "We won, we write the rules, get over it?"

Hey, if thats how you want to justify gerrymandering then by all means its your right. Governing by a mandate and changing the way elections are run are two completely different things.
If the GOP wants to pass legislation they feel is right thats one thing. Redistricting specifically to put minorities in their own districts is complete and utter bull . I'll never feel that is justified.
I pretty much agree that the way San Antonio is split up is total bull but that seems to have been a compromise that D's and R's both have gone along with over the years.
BTW, that axe swings both ways. Charlie Gonzales has probably got a lifetime appointment to Congress the way his district is drawn.
And throwing North Central SA into the 23rd that runs all the way to Eagle Pass and almost to El Paso is obscene.
Heres a map of Texas and how the major cities are sliced and diced if anyone is interested...

Any coinsidence that the blue parts of texas(san antonio down to the mexican border) are poor as and are essentially a 3rd world country...
hmmmm
i thought this was going to be about el dia de los muertos
