- Number 1 overall seed
- Odds on favorites to win the championship
- MVP of the league
- Former DPOY
- home court advantage
What else did little David Robinson need in order to beat Hakeem Olajuwon and the 6th seeded (non-50+win team) Rockets?
Only God knows...
A better team around him
Johnson was an overrated midget
Vinny Del Negro is gay
Rodman bailed on his team
Oh and yes, Olajuwon had Drexler; Robinson had....... ?
Dont you know, 62-20 teams usually have overated, gay players who bail.
Can we stop talking about the Lakers for once ?
lol listing odds and having the MVP as assets DRob had.
I can accept a post-Gasol lakerfan not knowing Rodman quit, or that "Number 1 seed" and "homecourt advantage" mean the exact ing thing in this context.
A Spurs fan who doesn't know the Spurs pre-1997, awesome.

Avery Johnson? Ever heard of him?
And Dennis Rodman?? The defensive legend and best overall rebounder in 3 NBA generations and counting??
Yup, it was David Robinson who willed the Spurs to 60+ victories that year, a one man team.![]()

YOU say that I don`t know about them?
Do you even know what happened during the WCF you ????
Sorry, I checked basketball-reference for Sean Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Lu ck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_Luck_The_Fakers_ and couldn't find him anywhere.
bazinga!
Number 1 seed means home court advantage, and surely everyone understands that but what went well over your head captain space pudding was that pointing out the Spurs were the top team in basketball, the team that dominated the league during the 82 game season. That was the point of noting their "Number 1 overall seed."
Just as pointing out that the "MVP" of the league was supposed to support the idea that Robinson was the game's best player that year. Talk about a a farce.
Hakeem Olajuwon ripped that trophy from David's arms and took a dump on it.
it was a pretty good series with most games being fairly close. That doesnt mean your team sucks over-all.
No wonder Spurs fans believe the same with the Lebron James team of 2009-2010. lol
You qualified them as assets, you dumb .
How would his MVP trophy help him beat the Rockets?
How would the Vegas odds help him beat the Rockets?
Why don't you know Rodman quit?
How is having homecourt advantage in a series and having homecourt advantage in a series different?
You should go back the ESPN forums. Even your trolling attempts are beyond pathetic.
You don't know about them if you claim Robinson didn't have the team to support him. Their 62-20 record / number 1 overall seed would seem to shatter that idiotic fanboy excuse.
Apparently you are just another delusional Spurs who refuses to acknowledge history.
By the way, we eliminated the Lakers in the WCSF that year
But I'm sure you weren't a Laker fan back then
You sure did. Spurs have beaten the Lakers exactly 3 times in their history, all during down years / rebuilding.
Shouldn't the number 1 overall seed with the league's MVP win every series? Let alone a 5 seed with no NBA all-stars?
I have often wondered how great a player Olajuwon could of become had he been on the Lakers…
Great photo...Fevertrees right?![]()
The Spurs were rebuilding in 03. I remember fondly Derek and Kobe's tears while the Spurs were up by 30![]()
So you werent a Laker fan back then
Reading comprehension problems?

Fellow Spurs fan pgardn will attest to the wonders of this product. Perhaps it can do the same for you.

Dismissed as yet another moron. Congrats.
