My son swears up & down it's legal to U turn against a red. I tried it with the old lady in the car and she tried to hit me again.

Which way are you turning your wheel when you make a u-turn? You have to make a left turn (at an intersection), and then another left turn to do a U-Turn.

You're technically turning left when you do a U-turn. You have to wait for a green light, or stop first if its a blinking red or stop sign.

You can't be doing that at busy intersections, eventually your car will get destroyed by another. They make for good EMS/rescue calls though
Technically, it's an illegal left. The solid double yellow lines cons utes an island. If you look closely, it's shaped like one. And I don't think most of us would drive over that cement slab sitting in the middle of the road, even those I did see some bluehair old lady try that and it was funny as when her ass got stuck.

yah i figured....you'd be amazed how many people turned left there. I was inside chili's and saw about 5 cars turn left there in 30 minutes...they all lucky cuz the cop bailed out after he gave me my ticket.
