Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck! Last year I got drafted by the Magic as a PG and now I got drafted by the Magic as a SG!![]()
played the out of this game this past weekend with my friend on his pc and my 360 controllers.
i don't understand it? i have played the out of this game since 2k4 or so and haven't been able to shoot at a high clip from anywhere outside the paint. is annoying as !
take for instance one game this weekend... i am shooting like 30% and my friend is shooting a whopping 56% or so. i am neck and neck with him but i have to mainly do layups(not always a given) and dunks(i always up one a game at least, how the ?) just to keep up. i am used to the x-button to shoot but have been trying to use the joystick since my friend has so much success with the joystick and still i suck at shooting.
oh well. game is annoying and frustrating but in' unbelievably badass too!

On my player my ratings aren't great but I'm shooting over 40% from 3 and 50% from the field. Shooting is really easy, imo.
On my franchise with the Spurs dont' get me started on how amazing Manu is.
Picked up this game yesterday and love it so far.
I am totally terrible though.
Anyone have any place i can look to learn how to do things like, set picks, dribble moves, etc...When i get the ball in the paint i usually chuck up some really weak shot, not sure how to do any decent post moves.
The manual for the game doesn't have a whole lot of info.
I made a PF and so far i am decent at boxing out and rebounding, but that is about it.
I was never able to be a play a good post game in the previous 2k games, but this year I've been throwing it down to Duncan almost every possession, and he delivers. If I keep it up playing this way, he can be a top 10 leading scorer.
Got it a few days ago. Definitely a big step up from 2k10 and the best simulation basketball game I've played. Still, it has its problems and IGN kinda over hyped it. But its still a great game and any basketball fan that has a intrest in gaming should buy it.
do the practice mode under game modes. Its really helpful.
Also they actually pronounce my name and I look like myself rather then a short Kevin Martin![]()
Definitely a marked improvement. The rebounding kicks ass - I don't know how many times I've lost rebounds because they didn't have a "tracking" system for them to grab it a little out of their range. Also, blocking shots and bodying up in the paint is much easier. The overall engine still needs a massive update as the controls are unresponsive as (like every 2k before it), but still, a great game, worth the price, and the most realistic yet.
9/10
Scrimmage is good stuff
Reading this thread while I'm at work makes me sad because I want to be at home playing.
This is the first le I've had on my PS3 that I absolutely love to play. I liked other games and they were fun but this is the best by far.
Haha
+1 on everything
Teamed up with a couple of friends a few nights ago with our created players. Playing other created players was fun as .
I will have to find some time for online battles
I really want to find out which one of you ladies is going to finish 2nd.
AI stealing passes ability is absolutely outrageous. Can be fixed with sliders for regular games but it can make playing My Player games crazy annoying.
Otherwise, this is a freaking kick ass game. Games seem much more realistic now. I average about half as many points in the paint as I did in 2k10 (80 points in the paint was the norm in that game).
I was ready to toss it in the garbage in my first game, though. I was playing the Pistons against the Thunder and Kevin Durant dropped 50 on me. I stuck with it though and I'm glad I did.![]()
imo, going to get before new vegas and black ops
More blocks, less steals, and dribbling is still too good imo. Also they need to make online work for me.![]()
MJ is absolutely ridiculous in this game.
I just hung 67 points on 29-34 points in the first half (16 minutes) with '96 Jordan to jump on the 87' Celtics 73-20. The only reason I quit was because I wasn't doing it on the Jordan challenge, so it's all for naught.
Freakin addicted to the My Player Mode.... it's nice having control on my career.
Just beat the first Jordan Challenge. Damn, those are hard as , especially since young Jordan doesn't have his range. Once they start double teaming you, gets hard to keep getting inside.
I had to reel off the first 11 points of the 4th quarter to get to 63, then start dishing. Got the 6th assist on my final pass for a game winning three by Paxson. (yeah, history.)
If it's that hard to score 63 points as videogame Jordan, I have no idea how he did it in real life.

So the practice and scrimmage modes improve your skill points and/or rating too? Ive been going crazy on the drills only.
Time to request a trade!
I requested a trade because I'm sick of OJ Mayo chucking.
So far, I have tried to beat only 2 MJ challenges:
- 55 pts at the Garden: success
- Flu game: scored a load of points, but failed in other statistical categories
They are not easy because it's not just about scoring a certain number of points; for example, I was lucky to beat the MSG game challenge; I knew I was well on my way to scoring 55 pts, but then I realized that I was shooting under 55%; I had to make sure to hit high % shots the rest of the way
Dex, for the Boston Garden game, there is a video on Youtube; you can look it up and see how he beat the challenge
Sick of people quitting early when they get slightly behind. Man up.
