...But, when it got down to or walk time Kobe went up/couldn't get off, started comin' down/couldn't get it off/the psychosis lifted for a heartbeat/and the sick SOB shoveled.
Just like that.
Sure did look like Kobe let Fisher save the Lakers asses in Game 3 of the Finals.
Kobe was AWOL while Fisher clutched 13 points for the Lakers in the 4th quarter? dont remember
oh and LOL @ "let teammate steal spotlight"
Duncan doesn't care about that. He wants to win and will share the spotlight.
Kobe would pout and whine and shoot 6-24 in a game 7 as long as he can get the MVP.

Don't dodge the question, just answer it.Who has won more Finals MVPs? Duncan or Kobe?
Looking forward to bumping this thread in June.
Finals MVP means that you step UP in big games...umm..cough...6-24...
Duncan game 7 vs the pistons......10-27.....for a big man....damn......
To be fair, he was on two bum ankles and he had the best defensive tandem in the NBA guarding him.
Tbh sounds like excuses, brah. I thought finals mvp are supposed to step up in big games?
I hate this got, but he does have a point.
Forget Duncan's stats in game seven and watch the last six minutes of the third and all of the fourth. Duncan stepped up.
That and having Sheed bench in the 4th helped the Spurs chances in that game. But I think most people are pointing out that even though you struggled in the pivotal game 7, you should really look at the whole series and not just based it on one game.
Of what year?
Odor, nailin' The Skunker Crew to the wall.
It's amazing how Laker fans avoid answering this very simple question.
Duncan:
1999* - 1999
2003 - 1
2005 - Manu
2007 - Parker
Kobe:
2009 - 1
2010 - 2
Final tally:
Duncan - 1
Kobe - 2
FIFY.
There's no way an MVP goes 6-24 in game 7 and their team still goes on to win.
lol only 1 Finals MVP out of all the championship teams he's been on
I guess that just means he's a role player, cause you're either the leader or you're not.
Can someone please tell me why Kobe failed to win a championship in '99?
Duncan did it as well.
True, but Duncan plays DEFENSE, Kobe doesn't, the Pistons only scored 74 points in that game thanks to Mr. MVP.
You Lakers fans do understand how important defense is don't you?
I mean, you guys didn't have it in '08 when your big men got ed by the Celtics thanks to Bynum being out... 131-92 sound familiar?
Agreed.![]()
Ok then.
Sons, I'm still waiting...
...obviously he wasn't good enough.
What's your basis for the 99 smack? Finals MVP has to do with 1 series, not the season or even the rest of the playoffs in most cases. the * can't apply here.
