You probably can't beat that without a bundle.
I need just broadband internet access... No TV, no Phone.
Comcast just decided to jack up the rate to $59.99/mo for 15/3.
FIOS is offering $54.99 for 15/5.
Whatever happened with broadband for under $40? Anybody knows of a better deal?

I went with a Comcast bundle here because it actually was cheaper to get the cable and internet service than it was to carry stand alone broadband service. In Santa Fe its either Qwest which is way cheaper and has slower service or Comcast. If I could get better Qwest service I'd drop Comcast in a heart beat but with Comcast having no compe ion I'm pretty much stuck.
15/3
15/5
as in 15mb connection? or 15gb plan?
actually if ur paying around 40 bucks a month, why not just go after 3G wireless...
megabits, as in 15 Mbits down/3 Mbits up...
Comcast has a 250GB monthly cap. I don't think FIOS is capped.
I also don't think 3G does over 2Mbits... and it's usually capped.
As for the cap, I do a lot of Netflix streaming and I download torrents yet I've not come close to the cap. This month I'm at 75% with 5 days left so this is the closest I've been by far (some BD rips and a LOT of Netflix HD streaming) so its not a huge issue like I expected it to be but YMMV.
I hate Comcast though so just go with FIOS imo.
where are you? I just looked up clear and it is 35 bucks for home internet, or $45 for the "on the go". If you wanted both, then it is $60.
